Despite the struggling economic market coupled with the housing chaos, mostly affected on the coasts than the Midwest. Home equity remains the main wealth for homeowners, home equity gains are the rule rather than the exception. TINKER AFB COULD RECEIVE UP TO $44 MILLION IN STIMULUS

The Tinker AFB civil engineers received approval for 42 projects submitted for stimulus funding. Tinker's top ten list includes airfield repairs, the construction and repair of various anti-terrorism projects, repair to heating and air conditioning in large industrial facilities, roadwork and roofing. This is a great opportunity for local small businesses to submit proposals for contracts. It also creates opportunities to stimulate our local economy through the use of local construction companies. April is almost over - if you are qualified to buy a home for the first time and haven't. You may want to speed up your decision, you only have seven more months to close on your home to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit.

TINKER AFB TO CELEBRATE MILITARY CHILDREN

A military child is a special individual who endures a lifestyle of constance change. More than 1.7 million American Children under the age of 18 have at least one parent serving in the military. The month of April is designated as a time to applaud them for their resiliency and courage. "A MONTH OF THE MILITARY CHILD." On April 18th, 2009 there will be various events going on from 1 to 5pm at Tinker AFB, OK. All children of base ID cardholders are welcome. Bring your children to the base for a day of free food and fun.
