Some of my favorite moments during the week are when the office is empty at the end of the day & the sun is going down. I like take a break to enjoy a little beauty by stepping onto the balcony just a step outside my office.

Amazingly enough - this photo was taken with the camera on my phone!
If you would like to make this kind of sunset a regular part of your day, lets find you a home in Tucson! The first step is finding a home - go directly to my Easy Home Search page.

One of the benefits of participating on ActiveRain is the opportunity to develop relationships with people in far-off places without the expense & time required to travel. Nevertheless, the chance to meet someone face-to-face brings something extra to the equation that just can't be beat.
Recently, I traveled to the Hill Country of Texas, the heart & soul of which is Austin - Jason Crouch's stomping grounds. Luckily, he had a free spot in his schedule to meet up for lunch (which was good, despite Jason's travails with getting the wrong dish delivered!).
Austin is a beautiful city, dynamic, full of style, culture & a character that is truly unique! This is a belated "Thank You" to Jason, and I would like to celebrate by showing a few photos from my few days in Austin, Texas.

If you're new to AR (or even been around forever), take some time to get to know some of the members...and if you're in their neck of the woods sometime, give 'em a call (or Tweet, message on Facebook, LinkedIn or whatever) in advance & try to meet them in person. You might just have more in common than real estate...and new friends are always welcome in my book!
Visiting Jason's Blog is always a good idea, too. He's a wealth of knowledge, fun and sincerity.

The one, the only Chuy's Fine Tex-Mex Restaurant & Elvis Memorabilia Museum (ok - its a chain...sue me)

Umlauf Sculpture Garden is but one of many incredible places to relax & enjoy some art.

While Austin is a fantastic city, if Tucson is more your style, I'll be glad to help you with your real estate needs. To search for your possibilities in the easiest, most informative way (so far): click here.
In the previous post, I wrote about Summerhaven on Mount Lemmon as a great getaway for Tucson residents - summer or winter. In that post, only homes for sale on Mount Lemmon were mentioned.
There are several building lots for sale in Summerhaven, as well as land acreage on Mt. Lemmon too!
Should building your own mountain paradise with a desert below you suit your fancy - or perhaps investing in some acreage on Mount Lemmon be more your speed, I'm TucsonKent. Your Tucson real estate agent.

As temperatures start climbing into the triple digits, people in Tucson generally head for one of three places:
One of the beautiful things about living in Tucson is that all three are close by! (Okay, so indoors is always close by - whaddya want, its MY blog)
There are great getaways on the water within a short drive of 2 hours or so...and Mount Lemmon is even closer. In fact, you've seen it countless times - its the backdrop for most of the scenic photos you've seen of Tucson. Right in our own backyard is Coronado National Forest...with a 9,000 foot mountain! Ski Valley is the southernmost ski area in the United States.
For generations, Tucsonans have enjoyed cabins and summer homes on Mount Lemmon. Close enough to make it simple & easy - but worlds away as you breathe in the pine-scented air. Summerhaven is the community up in the forest, with shopping & dining venues at your disposal.
People have built a variety of cabins to take advantage of the cool offerings of Mount Lemmon, winter or summer.
Most of the homes are newer, since the fires of 2003 burned a good number of Summerhaven homes. Rebuilding the homes and businesses on Mount Lemmon has proceeded at a good clip since it is such a popular area.
Take a look at the variety of homes available on Mount Lemmon - see what you can buy in today's Tucson real estate market:
To find your own Summerhaven home on Mount Lemmon - give me a call. I'm TucsonKent - your Tucson real estate agent who won't "snow" you - even on Mt. Lemmon!
I've read a lot of great information on the $8000 Tax Credit for first-time homebuyers, most of it from ActiveRain members. Even with the quality explanations from intelligent people, I still got questions from people to explain it again & again.
So - I figured that making it simple enough that even I could understand what it means to someone buying a home might be helpful. No offense to all those folks who have done a stellar job writing about it...but I'm not the smartest guy around, so I made a video of it.
