In an article this morning in the Tennessean the main discusison was the new developments going on in Westhaven's Towncenter. Apparently Mafiaoza's Pizzeria is moving to Williamson County, more secifically in Westhaven's Towncenter. This makes another big step in securing a tenant in the center. Mafiaoza's is located in the 12th South District and if you haven't eaten there yet, you need to check it out. The only tenant in there at the moment is Dr. Sara Northcutt, DDS of Vanderbilt. Other tenants that might be moving in are Harris Teeter, and a Wine & Spirits store.

"FRANKLIN - Development in Westhaven has progressed beyond home building, and developers are now in full-swing recruitment mode to fill in the gaps with retail and entertainment options in the community's town center.
Mafiaoza's Pizzeria & Neighborhood Pub will be the first restaurant in the mixed-use community off Highway 96 west of Franklin, developer Southern Land Co. announced Monday.
A 48,000-square-foot Harris Teeter store has been announced as an anchor tenant for the community and is scheduled to open by the fall of 2009. A yet-to-be-named wine and spirits store will occupy a space near the grocery.
Developers say Mafiaoza's will serve as a "mini-anchor" of the town center, and they say they hope the announcement will spur interest from other tenants looking to expand to west Franklin.
"We want to solidify our anchors and then begin focusing on restaurants and boutiques," said Creighton Wright, vice president of commercial development for Southern Land. "Mafiaoza's is evidence we've reached that milestone where we're beginning to look at entertainment options."
Once completed, Westhaven Town Center will contain approximately 250,000 square feet of commercial space and up to 50 residential units.
Three other buildings are nearing completion in the community's town center: the Health and Business Building, which features a Vanderbilt Medical Group practice, Sara Northcutt Dentistry, and Westhaven Pharmacy; the Westhaven sales center; and the Regions Bank building, which should be under construction sometime this year.
About 700 homes are up in Westhaven and 150 more are under construction, Wright said. At build-out, Westhaven will have 2,700 homes."

Arden Place is a close knit community located in the heart od the highly sought after Green Hills neighborhood. The community consists of about 160 Townhomes, It was built between 1973 and 1980. There are 47 two bedroom townhomes and 113 three bedroom townhomes. The community features a club house, swimming pool, and tennis courts.
If you are not familiar with the location and neighborhood, here is a little information. There are several places to eat, drink, shop, or just hang out in the area. Also located near Arden Place is Belmont University and David Lipscomb University, as well as private and public schools. This area has it all and it's no wonder so many people call it home!

Westhaven is a master planned community that sits on approximately 1500 acres in Williamson County off of New Highway 96. Having sold houses in the neighborhood and watching it grow since it's inception, it has been great being around the community. There are a wide variety of houses in the neighborhood from Cottage to Italian Renaissance. Each house bring the American standard of living to life with front porches and beautifully landscaped yards. The houses are built with quality and efficiency in mind. Each house brings a unique style to the community You will even find flowers and vines hanging from the sides of a few houses as well as colorful window boxes. In addition to the landscaping, the neighborhood has dedicated about 50% of the acreage to natural landscapes. Basically they wanted the neighborhood to have a well established feel so they kept a lot of the existing trees, wild flowers, and common areas which adds a certain beauty to the neighborhood.

Once you drive into the neighborhood, you feel as if you are on vacation. All of the beautiful homes are nestled in tree-lined streets with lush landscaping and it just brings a great sense of community to the heart. Many of the residents in Westhaven has sold their houses and either downsized or upgraded into another house within the neighborhood. As stated earlier, just being around the neighborhood so much, there is a certain family-like atmosphere floating around. We have attended block parties, holiday parades and celebrations, watched movies on the lawn, attended art and craft shows, and walked numerous trails. There are several walking trails, common areas, playgrounds, and even fish-stocked ponds peppered throughout the neighborhood.

Westhaven also features a 18,000 plus square foot Resident's Club which features a 40 seat movie theater, activity/exercise rooms, conference rooms, catering kitchen, arts and crafts for the kids, and more! Right next to the Resident's Club is the resort style swimming pool that offers one of the largest water-slides in a subdivision, a 119 water slide, that's right, 119 feet long! The pool is a heated salt-water pool with a Bahama landing to the entrance, a lazy river, water cannons for the kids and adults alike and even a baby pool for the young ones. If that's not enough, there's even a poolside cafe, covered patio, showers and restrooms, and plenty of loungers.

Westhaven has also incorporated a Town Center to it's community. The Town Center will feature a neighborhood market, cafes, boutiques, a bank, and has already brought in a Dentist. The Town Center is located next to an 11 acre lake. The Town Center will offer both residential and commercial opportunities. The first building should be complete by the Spring of 2008.
One more thing to add to the neighborhood....an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Aurthur Hills. The course will be situated within the 1500 acres, but it will be separate from the neighborhood so golfers can truly enjoy the course without the feeling of being surrounded by houses!
