I have been asked this question over and over since last fall:
So how is the market? Is it coming back? Are you selling?
I also have heard agents say "I'm waiting for the market to come back" to build my business.
I call these the fear questions. If you listen to what associates and clients are saying , you will hear fear.
It doesn't matter when the market comes back, real estate is a numbers game. If you get yourself in front of enough people you will create a successful business. People will always be moving! Jobs change, kids graduate, people retire and life goes on!
Agents: Learn to listen to fears of your clients and hold their hands through this scary time. People will be grateful and become customers for life. Stay educated on what loans and credits are available to your clients. You will be suprised how many people don't know their is a tax credit!
Clients: Now is the time to buy! New homebuyers who are aware of the tax credit are out in full force. If you are selling, putting your home on the market now is a great idea if you want some traffic and possibly a quick sale.
Help people facing their fears has help me and my office answer the questions:
So how is the market?
