Just some oppinions on Tuesday's election results...
I couldn't help but notice that the stock market made significant gains today. I don't know if it's coinsidence, or that there has been a power shift in Washington. I hope it's the later. I hope it's because the financial experts beleive that the balance of power has been pointed toward common sense economic ideas that will get this country moving in the right direction.
Now that control has shifted to the other side of the isle, I hope that those who have been given the PRIVELAGE of legislating this country have been given thier wake up call. America does pay attention, and WE, NOT YOU know what is best for this country. A lot of promises have been made to the people of this country, and rest assured, we ARE paying attention. Many have talked the talk to get elected, now lets see if they can walk the walk.
To all those in Washington...
WE ARE WATCHING!!
Have a great night...
So, I feel like I have to share this since I feel like the AR family is an extension of my own.
Me and my wife had the first Dr's appointment yesterday for the new addition. I know it's my 3rd, but it still amazes me the first time I hear the heartbeat!! I guess I'm just a big softy at heart, because I was caught wiping a tear away. I had something in my eye, and that's the story I'm sticking too!!
Thanks for letting me share that daddy moment with you, and I look forward to hearing some of your mommy/daddy moments. They make it all worth while, don't they?
Another Monday has come and gone. Looking back on the weekend, it wasn't half bad. First off, open house yesterday wasn't too bad. Would have liked to have seen a few more people there, but I live in racing country, and the NASCAR event was at the closest track to home. But, still no complaints.
The weekend started off with a bang. Had an awsome show with The Pop Rivets on Friday night. Had a great crowd that loved to make some noise. That always makes it a fun show.
Then on Saturday, I got to finally spend some quality time with my wife and two beautiful daughters. Had fun with breaks and spills at the restaraunt (it was one of those days, and I bet they were happy to see us go! LOL). Then did a little shopping.
A great weekend all around!!
Toni ght my band The Pop Rivets, is playing at Awful Arthurs at Towers Mall in Roanoke. It's been a long time since we've rocked that place, so come on out and make some noise.
If you haven't heard us, we play a wide variety of soul, rock, punk, and funk. Always a good time. If you're a member of AR, I'll be working sound and lights, so come on over and say hi. I'd love to meet some fellow bloggers in person.
Showtime is at 9:30. Hope to see you there!

Ok, so I know it's Tuesday, but I just had to say that I had a great time with my open house on Sunday, and met some fantastic people.
For anyone who was wondering, it sure seems like things are looking up. It wasn't really heavy traffic, but the people who showed up were in the market to buy for sure. I still love this job!!
Stay tuned for details on the next one...
Have a great night!!
