New Beginnings

Greetings again! So if you have followed my blog posts this past week, you already know it has been a big week for me. I'm excited about all the changes going on in my professional and personal life.

All these changes are now driving me to do something I have needed to do for far too long now. Today (hopefully) is my last day as a smoker. I've been doing it well over half of my life. My careers have always enabled the habit. Any of you who are, or who know musicians, know that it's just a part of what we do.

But now, with my third baby on the way, I feel like it's time to just stop. I should have before the first one, and the second one, but I'm done with it. I know it won't be easy, but I have support around me. Any former smokers out there who can give a little inspiration and advice on how to do it without ballooning up to twice my weight, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks in advance for your support and encouragement.

Here's to finally kicking the monkey off my back!!

Have a great day!

Big Day For A Newbie!!

What an awsome day it's been. I closed on my first sale today!! Extremely excited about that! It's amazing when everything comes together with minimal glitches. I still loved the whole experience. From showing my client the first house, to negotiations, to finally finishing everything up today. Amazing feeling when you put someone in their first house!

Of course, I knew today would be a great day early on. I found out this morning that my wife and I are expecting our third baby!!! I love being a daddy! For the record, this is the last. Don't want to get too outnumbered.

Thanks for letting me share a great day with all of you, and have a great night!

I Love Gridlock!!

I'm not writing this blog to spark a political debate, although I'm sure it will.

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the welcome cool breezes, the shorter days, football, and every 2 years we have a chance to have our voices heard. We are 28 days from that opportunity. I'm sure with as many members as there are on AR, there are plenty of views from each side. I'll leave mine out of this discussion for now.

But, no matter which way you lean, left, right, or the good ole fashion fence rider, one thing is always fun to notice. When Washington does nothing, this country does better. If one side has ultimate power to do whatever it wants, that side seems to become drunk with that authority, and runs rough shot over those who put them in power.

Remember when the national debt clock quit running? I don't know about any of you, but for some reason, I felt a little releived. Most, if not all, of us have to write a check to the government every year because of the nature of our business. Who is looking out for us??

It has become a country of corporate bail outs, and government handouts just to make sure the powers that be get to keep their job. If you want to make a difference, VOTE!! Treat your elected officials the same way you would a business that you give your money to. After all, aren't they just salespeople, too? How many of them would you trust with one of your clients?

I know...They're all the same. Not true! Take the time to look closely, and you will see the differences in the candidates wanting you to pay them to run this country. Take the same amout of time as you do to prepair your taxes. You may be surprised what you see. As I said before, this is not about who is right or wrong, as much as it's about making an informed choice in 4 weeks.

Gridlock is good!!

(OK, so I didn't leave my political oppinion out of this as much as I meant to...I'm just a little passionate about it.)
