The concept of being personalized and creating your own niche is paramount, and really, why would we not just be ourselves.
We have been very fortunate to have some of the best customers and clients on Earth. Never under estimate the friendship that can develop with having such customers and clients, let alone being grateful for their loyalty.
We have always prided myself on being personal, but at the same time we will make that commitment to work harder than a rented mule, but always working smarter just as well.
Granted, our market has seen changes lately, but I have seen this before. Just when you think it has been slow for too long, and you have worked four times as hard to make a living, it all of a sudden takes off like wild fire.
It really is a demand on duty for the future, and those that are prepared in every angle have the most to offer their customers and clients.
We have been able to step back lately and find many ways to improve the quality of my service, and the distinct details that set me apart from some other brokers.
Some of the best Mentors we could have are fellow activerain bloggers; We have learned from some of the best and we thank you.

IT never seizes to amaze me about some of the assumptions that people can make. Real Estate is a great example. Some would say "I can't do that", I don't want to attempt that", that is something I would not be good at", The list is endless.
A Paradigm is a perceived notion. We are all full of preconceived notion:, "That person is a better broker", "I can never get the Seller to that offer", 'I wish I had the talent that person had" "I am happy just making my simple money, and I doubt I could be a Broker that can produce like others"
THE SECRET IS ATTITUDE, BELIEF IN YOURSELF, AND ESTABLISHING SYSTEMS THAT ARE AUTOMATIC AND GET YOUR PHONE TO RING. THIS IS A TOPIC A LONE THAT GETS PEOPLE IN TROUBLE.
The secret is to leave the thoughts and suggestions that others give you a special place where you can come back later and edit them. A lot will work and some will not. The important thing is to remember that we have to set our selves apart from others.
A basic approach, yet ideal, would be a simple one that starts the honesty and start of how to get your foot in the door. No BS lines, no smoking guns,it is plain truth and honesty will get you a face to face appointment. What else could you need. Basics are important, but from there we have to remember to get back to the basic core values of work, business, and life everyday.Dare to be different, and let the wall come down. The talent that is within you is restricted by how you manage your thoughts, and your difference of guiding your destiny and what life holds for you, or perhaps you create self defeating prophecies and it is time to stop them. It is not a game of cards with the best hand, but rather just having the game learned and practiced.

See you at closing!

I have a thirteen year old son named Spencer. I do not know what happened awhile ago whether it is testosterone or just attitude, but there are times when I find my son acting bad or out of character for no reason at all. He is such a charming young man and is my greatest achievement, but lately he questions authority way too much, and debates everything I ask him. I was reminiscing about when I was a kid and the neighbor girls and I would walk three miles or so to go to elementary school. The patience one acquires is one of the superior assets that makes us better Realtors. No matter what, in the end we do it all for the love of our children. Funny, it only seems like yesterday that I could never put him down. Now he is a big kid at 5'9" " and 165 pounds. I wish I could shrink him for a day so I could just pick him up and carry him around with me once more. What I like is when I go to kiss him, tell him how much I love him that he treats it like dog germs. Then it dawned on me that there was people around. Now I have to rely on my son giving me a bear hug, or once in a while he lets his guard down and likes the nurturing. He is a very attractive young man as well; something I think he inherited from his mom's genes, rather than mine. I suppose when the dating thing starts with him I am going to be learning even more lessons. Why is it we forget so fast every detail of ourselves growing up? Then we remember and we really get frightened because we remember what we got away with. If I could only make sure my son did not make some of the mistakes I did, but I believe he will have to learn a lot of hard lessons on his own. I would think it is a lot harder being a kid today than when I was younger. He has a good mom that guides him well. Why is it when all else fails a young man will always remember his mom? She actually sat down almost every night with him and went through all his homework and extra credit with him.
I did not think that I would ever be a parent, but in my late thirties it happened. I love him dearly, but I actually should thank him. He truly has taught me to be a lot more patient. Granted this was taught by default. Meaning I literally had to go for a walk, or ignore him because of his new attitude. My friends all have grandchildren.
As I took him to registration today it hit me hard how anyone could have put up with me when I was younger. We went through the whole line, and then when he messed up his hair before he had his picture taken, it really hit home how much overtime goes into parenting.
My son and his mom live in Wales, Wisconsin. I must confess I think she has a lot better attitude, and approach to parenting than just about anyone I ever knew. I now can joke with her a little bit about some of the antics young kids will do, but I also think that my son could not have a better mother. He knows that, and respects her.
After we came back out to my car and I was driving away it dawned on me why all those Moms were so happy in there.
I absolutely love my son to death, but when he gets on his bus at 6:30 in the morning and comes home at a little after 3:00 in the afternoon I think that gives his Mom the peace and quiet she needs.
Perhaps one day they could make school a year round thing.

Let's make it a safe and wonderful year for the children returning to school, and thank the bus driver.

Wisconsin is a beautiful State. Metropolitan areas, pristine Lakes, rolling kettle moraines, large forests, and majestic farms. It is actually breath taking. When buying Real Estate whether in Waukesha, Milwaukee,Dodge,Sheboygan,Jefferson,Walworth,Fond Du Lac Counties and more you get more than you would ever expect by contacting Tom Braatz and Glenn Shong.
Glenn has a business background, and was actually a milkman at one time as well. Tom, he has a science background, and was actually a farmer at one time. There were lessons along the way. I learned real fast never to put the cows next to my Jalapeno field. However if it meant heating up the barn so be it.

The beauty of living in Wisconsin, and in the Lake country is that you can always go watch the Wisconsin Badgers play in Madison, the Green Bay Packers in Green Bay, visit some of the breweries that made Milwaukee famous, and just be about as close to everything as possible or just go for a drive and see beautiful farms, sunsets, and more.Heck, you can even go watch the polar bear club every New Years Day jump in the frozen Lake. Kind of sounds like myocardial fibrillation. There is so much to see and do. Call us, and let us help you.

Hard work and effort. It is something that has been instilled in our makeup for years. So has it is just as important to work smart as it is hard. As Realtors, we have a job that consists of some pretty intense critical thinking at times, social work, and just a job of balancing time, money, and emotions. Real Estate does not require us to be an "Einstein", nor does it have to be rocket science, or highly impacted polymer chemistry. It does require a sense of good judgement, a love for people, and a pure desire to make a difference in people's lives in their Real Estate purchases and selling their property.

Our day does consist of doing what we do best, and polishing our love for people, and the quality of life. We are Realtors. It is something that we don't take for granted, nor should we. It may have taken a while to sink in the enormous responsibility we have, but the reward and friendship we get in return really cannot be rallied or periled by too many other jobs or careers. The general public does know how hard we work. There are always those that may argue that fact on our behalf, gee, thanks to them, but for the most part, as Seller's agents, buyers agents, Residential, Commercial, or whatever may apply, it is nothing more than a personal relationship, and a smile that people can never forget that gets our phone calling time to time by clients and customers that have become our friends. For those wonderful friends of mine, remember that I really love barbecue!!!

WITH THAT WE WILL SEE YOU AT CLOSING!!!!!
Recently on a trip my dear friend was kind enough to allow me to use one of her vehicles while I explored the area and visited the wonderful JaCi Wallace, and the most charming Real Estate Broker in Sacramento Elizabeth Weintraub. Ladies, I have a tremendous amount of respect for you.
My friend Lori says "Don't go anywhere without Garmin" As I reply " Who is Garmin?" Garmin it turns out is an information GPS locate device that can get you in your destination.
The only thing is Garmin will irritate you because every five seconds it says to turn right in .3miles, turn right in 30 ft. turn right now, turn left in .6miles, recalculating. ON and On. I found myself actually raising my voice to this little guy on the seat saying "Give it a brake for a second."
Later that night I dreamed some kind of Stanley Kubrick 2001 thing where Garmin actually did not take to me and taught me a lesson by directing me right into Folsom prison.

I had to eat with mean guys, and the whole thing was frightening. Lori, I really like the artichokes, and the prison food was bad I had in my head. You have to admit I am one of a kind.
The next day or so I had to use Garmin again. I had a whole new respect for the thing and after all, poor Garmin was just trying to help. Actually I made a new friend. Tagging, blogging, websites, and more and something like Garmin gets to me.
Sincerely
Tom Braatz
