I have been very busy lately with home buyers. People are out looking and homes are for sale. Unfortunately, many people think that this area is in as much trouble as many parts of the US and the truth is....we are not. Yes in the last few days we have heard about more layoffs at CAT, some of these are people I know., but the reality is things could be worse.

Call a bank and ask about mortgages right one, many of them are swamped. It is not just refi's they are busy with. A friend of mine told me she had 7 phone calls last Monday that were for new home purchases.

Now is a great time to buy, but do not think you are going to "steal" one. Great financing rates, good home prices.

The Realtor and the horse

What a way to start the day. Kids come in and wake us up at 7:11 ( bus comes at 7:18) Someone forgiot to set the alarm!

Ok so we hurry up , get them ready for school and my wife drives takes them. The last thing she asks me...."wiil you feed my horses for me this morning?" No problem. Right!

I get to the barn, grab the feed buckets go to the first stall and..............stall door wide open. CRAP! At some point horse opened the door, which she forgot to lock last night ( wife forgot not the horse).

So its time for the Realtor, who I will add at this point is HIGHLY alergic to the horses now, to find this horse who has been out all night roaming the countryside.

Long story short...found the horse, Got to the 10am appointment and kids got to school......some days start out great don't they!!!!! I think I will stick to my Harley, it never runs away!
