There are three restaurants currently located on the Waterfront of Southport, NC

Fishy Fishy Cafe:

Welcome to Fishy-Fishy Café, Southport North Carolina's hot, waterfront dining experience. The culinary creations here are equaled only by the spectacular waterfront setting. Overlooking Southport's historic Yacht Basin Marina, at Fishy-Fishy Café you can relax in one of three unique environments; our main dining room, the outdoor deck or the rustic outdoor Fishy Raw Bar. Visit their website.

Yacht Basin Provision Company:

Yacht Basin Provision Company, called Provisions by the locals, was established in 1993 and it serves some of the best food in town. The views of the Southport Yacht Basin, the Intracoastal Waterway and the mouth of the Cape Fear river are incredible, and the sunsets, magnificent. Just a short walk from Provisions after dining will take you to some of the most beautiful sceneries of the beloved sunny little town of Southport. Just a short drive will place you at over 13 miles of the beaches of Oak Island while a 4 mile ferry ride will take you to one of the most unique islands in the Carolinas, Bald Head Island. Visit their website.

The Cape Fear Restaurant and Lounge:

The Cape Fear is a local, family-owned restaurant in the beautiful and friendly town of Southport, North Carolina, near the mouth of the Cape Fear River. We are a new dining experience with deep roots in the community where we have lived for over 30 years. Visit their website.

The new Oak Island bridge is well on its way. It will provide much needed traffic relief and accessibility to the mainland for west end residents of the island and much better beach access to residents of the plantations and the county areas.

I have designed a website to provide up to date information as possible on the new Oak Island bridge project. It features a photo gallery that will be updated on a regular basis.

Click here to see the latest photos (November 15th, 2008) of the bridge
The album is labeled "Moving on up"
