The UTES put a hault to our market

For seven straight days no calls, no showings, no nothing. The whole State was in mourning or just total shock. Every sense Utah upset our Crimson Tide Dec.2 in the Sugar Bowl no real estate activity was happening.

Thank God for Tebow!

We are back in business thanks to Tebow. Did you see the preformance last night. Tebow proved to all that he was the best leader and player on the field last night and should have been this season's Heisman winner . The S.E.C. is the best Football confererence in America. The third year in a row the National Champion has come from the SouthEastern Conference.

In Alabama, In Birmingham, everything! Saban will lock in another top five recruiting year and we will roll in the sales!

If you relocate to our state you have to declare within a month WHO ARE YOU FOR?

I remember playing on the play ground in first grade, minding my own business when an upper classman got in my face and ask me the question: WHO ARE YOU FOR?

so they all read: GO BAMA

I got a phone call yesterday

A nice young lady called me about my listing on Shades Crest in Vestavia Hills. During the interview she told me that she wanted me to show the house to her and her husband. They own a small 3/2 in Homewood not on the market. They had seen my listing on line and knew it was a great price for this 5 BR remodeled home. I asked if they had a Realtor, she said yes but did not want to bother her.

I told her it was the Realtor's job to show them the house and that I knew she would be delighted to hear from them and she would be thrilled to show them the house. If the Realtor had a conflict and could not show then call me back and I would be glad to show.

I called their Realtor

I called their Realtor and gave her their names and phone number and my listing info. The Realtor was happy I called and gave her the heads up. She had not heard from them. However, it will give this Realtor a chance to help this couple be a move up buyer and take advantage of this market.

I want to build a team that will become a great company. I have joined a business forum with several business owners outside our industry. We meet once a month for a few hours. Today the topic was Inspiring a Vision. How do we inspire and enable our employees? How do we as business owners share with our people the vision of where we want to go.

Solitude is a wonderful way to do this. Schedule an hour or two with yourself. Find a quite spot somewhere outside away from your workplace. I recommend bringing a journal and leaving your cell phone behind. Pray and ask God for direction and answers. Be honest with yourself and write your thoughts down. You will enjoy working on yourself and your business, Another benefit of journaling is creativity. It is a scientific fact that when you spend time writing your brain releasing new creativity in other areas of your life.

Scheduling this time with yourself should be a priority. Just like your other priorties, if it doesn't get scheduiled, it doesn't get done. One to two hours alone with yourself and God will be some of the most productive time ever spent.

Hey Guys,

I had lunch today with a group of 20+ Real Estate Investors. This group meets once a month at a Deli to network and discuss Real Estate Investing. I was the only Realtor attending, incogneto. We all had a common interest: Investing in Real Estate. I did not try to push the fact I was a Realtor (The Trusted Advisor) and was interested in selling them properties. Instead, I was just one of them attending to listen to others and their experience. So many times these people are so turned off by Realtors, because they want to purchase the properties at the lowest price and if a Realtor is involved there is a fee to pay. With a humble attitude others were interested in me. Many times we are so quick to tell others that we are the expert. If we used our ears more than our mouth it will get us what we need: More Business!
