Too Toxic To Trash?
Did you know that batteries, electronics, flourescent lightbulbs and mercury thermostats SHOULD NOT be placed in your trash? Bring them to Roundups!
If you have ever thought about throwing your hazardous or toxic products in your trash and then decided to DO THE RIGHT THING and take them to a place that accepts hazardous or toxic products (includes electronics and batteries), you probably found out just how difficult and/or timely this can be. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO DO THE RIGHT THING!
I recently travelled to the closest dump, located in Santa Monica, to dispose of a couple old VCR's. Believe it or not, this dump is for Santa Monica residents ONLY!
This is an opportunity for all Los Angeles residents (especially in Marina Del Rey, Playa Del Rey, Westchester, Culver City, Mar Vista, Playa Vista, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, and Pacific Palisades) to roundup their hazardous materials and electronic waste for disposal in one place on one day. Saturday March 1st, 2008.
