"Things are so Bright We have to Wear Sun Glasses"
Things are so bright for next year my partner, Carol, and myself will have to wear sunglasses to protect our eyes. This not because we have had a phenomenal year. In fact. we have struggled like a lot of agents. However, we see the market increasing in volume and activity.
How many agents judge next year on what is happening this quarter or this past year? My partner and I have predominately had our best quarters in the fourth quarter.
Are most of you looking at what has happened in the last few months or are you working to set the stage for the next few months. We have all found that there are months when very little happens but we find out later the work was setting the stage for months to come.
I personally think when we realize next quarter has everything to do with this quarter we will "win the year". The work this quarter is for next quarter's results.
How many of us think we are in a "Down Market"?
I think that is garbage. The market is what it is. When it is "down" for three years or more" it is not a down market. It is a normal market for the current situation and maybe the future. I believe when agents quit worrying about when the market turne around and accepts it for what it is they will finally adjust to today's conditions. That is when they will put a proper game plan together and make money according to today's market conditions.
I guess the key is hard work and an extremely positive attitude.
"Great Week to Work for Davidson Realty Inc. - Ted Tyndall"
This past week was the type of week that was fun.
We worked our cans off and we aren't really sure of what we accomplished but we were always busy. Hopefully this was work setting up things to happen in the future. With Sherry Davidson's help we formed a great alliance with ICI Homes in the Palencia neighborhood.
Carol and I got a contract on a condo and a home as well as closed on a home. Carol did a walk through on another home to close this Wednesday.
The company held it's first "Sneak Peek Saturday" in the Palencia neighborhood yesterday from 1pm through 4pm. We had a total of 12 families visit the ICI homes we had on the tour. The quality of the ICI Homes we are working with are fabulous.
Friday was the day that made the entire week worth everything.
Jim Davidson cooked a Turducken, as well as smoked 4 Turkeys and two Hams for a company Thanksgiving Day Dinner at our office.
"Kudos to Jim"
He had to cook for two days and everything was to "Die For". It was not the day to say you were on a diet. Everyone brought covered dishes and amazing deserts. I even saw someone taking a bag of Turkey home to their wife but I won't mention any names.
So many thanks to Jim and Sherry for providing such a great company to work for with an atmosphere that cannot be beat.
"Thank You - Sneak Peek Saturdays Open House: Homes for Sale - Ted Tyndall"
Thanks to the local rsidents for a "1st" Sneak Peek Saturday in Palencia.
We had the Sneak Peek Saturday from 1pm till 4pm sponsored by Davidson Realty Inc. today and I want to thank everyone that attended or wanted to attend. We feel it was a total success due to the local residents.
We had 4 Models and three specs built by ICI Homes on the tour. There were 3 agents on site with myself as a "floater". I realize number of customers is relative to the area and what you are use to as an average. For us it was a great day. ICI Homes has a phenomenal reputation and I feel this contributed to the turn out.
We had 8 families or couples attend without an agent. We had another five couples with an agent attend. For 13 families in a three hour period it was great for our area.
I especially want to thank Carol vonRabenstein, Judy Kashou, Carly and Bruce Weedle for their help in putting this together and helping work the locations. I want to thank ICI HOmes for their attention to detail in preparing the landscaping and properties for the event.
