Bermuda Bluff in St. Helena Island, South Carolina is a beautiful gated community that anyone would be proud to call home. This "retreat" is located along the Intracoastal Waterway and has 3000 feet of frontage along the Beaufort River.
This majestic neighborhood is also home to the very first HGTV Dream Home Giveaway home, which is now on the market at a great price.
Bermuda Bluff offers many amenities for residents to enjoy. The community pool is great for hot summer days. While you're sitting poolside you can take advantage of the spectacular views; the poolhouse is located near the Beaufort River. You can see the sun glistening off the river and see what is going on at the community dock where resident boaters moor their boats and go crabbing, shrimping or fishing. You also have a view of the lookout tower from the pool.
This lookout tower has stunning views overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. On a bright, sunny day you can see the Atlantic Ocean and Hilton Head Island. You won't have to drive far to put your boat in the water either; Bermuda Bluff has its own community boat ramp. Launching from there you can traverse to the Atlantic Ocean or venture up the Intracoastal Waterway to Maine or down the ICW to Key West Florida.
A nature trail curves and winds around the neighborhood, and has rest stops along the way where you can enjoy the scenery. You may also rest at a park bench or swing under a stately moss-draped live oak tree. Do some bird watching along the way. View the fountains in the ponds. You will see something new and different every time you walk or ride your bike throughout the neighborhood.
Take advantage of the outdoor lighted tennis court for your recreation.
Amenities also include a community clubhouse where you may schedule your meetings, events or wedding reception.
There are many natural, beautiful and unspoiled things to appreciate here in the Lowcountry. See for yourself and call me to schedule your date with Bermuda Bluff.

Welcome to Fightertown USA - Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.
Anywhere you move in the military is an adjustment to a new environment, climate, new customs and courtesies, local food and all the other differences you will notice from what you are used to coming from other locations. Sometimes it feels like a culture shock and other times you feel at home and will never want to leave.
Most people feel somewhere in-between. Those of you who are used to relocating know that there are up sides and down sides to every move. Having moved 13 times in a 24-year career I looked at moving as a new opportunity!
There are all kinds of opportunities out there and it all depends on your attitude. From meeting new friends to shopping and finding great deals, Beaufort's "small town" atmosphere opportunities abound. You just have to look for them.
Check your Welcome Aboard packet - everyone should have received a Welcome Aboard packet before they arrived. It is chock full of information about Beaufort and surrounding area. The Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort website also offers a ton of information about the area, units and squadrons, MAG 31, and schools.
If you haven't already done so, you MUST check out Military OneSource. It is simply the most powerful website when it comes to gathering information.
Call me for your military housing needs.

Beaufort, South Carolina made it in the news again! (That's BEWfort, not BOWfort). This time Field and Stream magazine called Beaufort one of the Best Fishing Towns in America. The February 2008 edition of the magazine listed the top 20 small towns under 100,000 in population, and Beaufort made the list.
The magazine called our beloved community "a saltwater paradise" and it is so true! Everywhere you look is water. From the Atlantic Ocean nearby and Intracoastal Waterway running through town, Beaufort is one of the greatest places to drop anchor and throw out a line. Fishing-wise, you can cover the gamut of redfish, drum, sea trout, tarpon, dolphin, marlin, and the list goes on and on.
Beaufort has made many lists in the past. Here are a few of the categories.

Come home to one of Beaufort's most treasured coastal waterfront developments. Pinckney Retreat was once a part of a Plantation established circa 1736. This magnificent retreat offers wide river views - some of the best panoramas anywhere. The original Retreat Plantation House is still on site and is an amenity for all the property owners to use. There is also a community clubhouse with swimming pool and outdoor patio with fireplace to enjoy. Walk the walking trails along the marshes, and bask in the shade of the stately Spanish moss-laden live oak trees. Sip your favorite cool beverage on your porch. Build your dream home here in this intimate, private setting. Life is short, so you may as well enjoy it in a beautiful setting.
