Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is back!

One of my favorite times of the year is the Balloon Fiesta! It is that time again, and the locals are hopeful for great weather. If you have never been, I highly recommend planning a trip to Albuquerque and attending. It is a tradition to get breakfast burritos and hot chocolate VERY early in the morning :). I always bring extra blankets and layers of clothing. You can expect to see the mass ascension around 7 am.

One of my favorite activities is going to the Balloon Glow. This event is held in the evenings and there are various balloon glows you can attend. The special shapes is fun for everyone. At dusk the balloons are lit and people can walk through them- it is truly a magical experience! Here is a photo from a park near my home. I hope you enjoy!

Tip for getting your home sold in 30 days- Especially in Albuquerque

Hello! Ever wonder what the secret is to getting your home SOLD in 30 days? Of course, every market is different, so I recommend contacting your local realtor to get an idea about where the market stands in your neighborhood.

In Albuquerque, it is amazing how individual neighborhoods have different absorption rates and days on the market. Here is one tip to get your home SOLD in 30 days.

Before putting your home on the market, walk your neighborhood and have your REALTOR take you into homes that are comparable to yours (same square footage, floorplan, etc.). Get an idea of what buyers are going to see and compare your home to.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Happy Selling!

Home Sales Jump 20% in Albuquerque for Quarter One

Today an article came out in the New Mexico Business Weekly discussing how much home sales have begun to climb in Albuquerque. Albuquerque overall allows homeowners to get more for their money. The average sales price is $180,000.

Some factors that contribute to the rise in home sales is the affordability of homes, the $8,000 tax credit (which ends April 30th) and improvements in the market.

It is such a great time to buy! I look forward to the market's continued improvement.
