Cromwell Middle School Fundraiser
5:00pm to 8:00pm
Now that schools are back in session.. things are getting into a routine. Cromwell CT school are no exception. If you are looking for a place to go out and eat, and also help the Middle School with a fundraiser.. here is your change to do both at the same time. On Monday, October, 5th, (and every first Monday of the month) Dairy queen in Cromwell will donate 10% of their net sales for the evening to tthe Cromwell Middle School PTO.
The CMS PTO provides much needed school supplies computer technology, student scholarships and sponsors school activities. This is one of the fundraisers that helps with these programs.
So, moms, dads and families, come on over and have dinner and dessert. At the same time you will be helping the CMS PTO and the students.

I have lived Cromwell CT for many years, and it is a realitively small town to todays communities in Connecticut. When it comes to home repair we would have to travel ½ hour to get to the nearest commerical home improvement store. There is a Lowes and Home Depot in Newington, and a Home Depot in Middletown, CT. For me it is 6 of one half dozen of another to get to.
I've noticed construction going on...and I've been watching and waiting as a new Lowes is opening up right here in Cromwell. The grand opening (preview) is tonight, Thursday, October 1st from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
So now for all those special projects, and needs for those home improvement, and if you live in Cromwell, CT....LOWES IS HERE!!!
Thank goodness... not only is it now convenient, but they have hired local people for a lot of the positions. Bet the news didn't cover this upside to the economy. Also, it will give the residents of town a tax break.... and we get to save on gas. :)

BOY SCOUTS OF CROMWELL CT
MONTHLY BOTTLE DRIVE
OCTOBER 3RD, 2009 - 9:00am to Noon
It has been a few months since I have mentioned this bottle drive... and I'd like to remind you of this. It seems that the word is not out there yet for this event, and the boys scouts can use your help with the donation of every recyclable cans and bottles you have.
This Saturday, 10/3, is the next bottle drive at Stop and Shop in Cromwell, CT. It is being held from 9:00am to Noon.
Plese stop by and bring your redeemable cans and bottles. DID YOU KNOW SOME WATER BOTTLES NOW HAVE A DEPOSIT??? Please extend this invitation to your friends and family. Remember the bottle drive is our primary fund raiser for the pack.
Also, if you have the boxes/carriers for any glass bottles please pack them in these when you drop them off. For some reason they get more money if the glass bottles are in these. Why I have no idea.
This may be short notice, being it is only the day after tomorrow, but this drive is the scouts main fundraiser... so let's all be supportive. I'm sure you have many soda, beer bottles that need to be recycled. I know you don't want to hold onto them, and would like to make room. This is your opportunity to dispose of them, and make a difference at the same time.
Please come and bring all of yours and your neighbors redeemable bottles. The Boy Scouts of Cromwell needs lots of bottles to keep them busy. Please pass the word along to your friends and family. Please remind your neighbors and family to bring down their redeemable bottles and cans. This is the Pack's primary source of funding for activities and badges. Your time, marketing efforts and cans are necessary and appreciated.
Once again, this drive is being held at the Stop n' Shop parking lot in the Northeast Corner by Route 3/Shunpike and Route 372 in Cromwell. Stop by with your donation any time between 9:00am and noon.

ANNUAL TASTE OF CROMWELL/WINE TASTING
Friday, October 2nd, from 7 to 9:30pm at the Holy Apostles Collegem, Cromwell CT
The annual taste of Cromwell, Ct is fast approaching again. Everyone who has gone to this in the past has had a good time, and looks forward to it coming around again. The wine is being supplied by Liquor World from Cromwell, and at present there will be around 15 vendors, each with a few different types to try. Area restaurants will be catering the food. Right now 17 restaurants are partaking in this event. Imagine all the choices.. you might not be able to make up your mind. Or, you can go back for seconds... think of the possibilities. Tickets are $20.00 until noon on Friday, so get them now. After that they will be $25.00.
There is going to be a silent auction and a Tea Cup Auction as well.
