CROMWELL CT - PARKS. Cromwell Landing Park is located on River Road off Wall Street in Cromwell CT. In an effort to improve the town parks, like Cromwell Landing, in the town of Cromwell, CT it is being cleaned up and rebeautifed. It is located right on the Connecticut River in Cromwell CT. You can see from the picture below that it is right in the background. areas like this. With the beautification going on this would make big improvements in the efforts to revive the historic downtown area, along with Main Street that is only a stones throw the Connecticut River.
Personally, I'd love to see a restaurant built right near by, so anyone coming by boat would never have to leave and could eat right there. Hmmm.. maybe the town would consider building structure where retail would be on the bottom floors, and condos on the upper ones.
Any upgrades to the shoreline of Cromwell, CT and Cromwell Landing would recepricate by increasing the value of the properties in the area. This is to include homes on School Street, South Street, Wall Street and River Road in Cromwell, CT.
Ok, I'm getting to far ahead of myself at the moment. Let's just hope things move forward in a positive direction.
This past week, I've been finding it difficult to get motivated.. This RAIN is getting me down, and I'm sure it is doing the same to others as well. While doing some reading this morning, I came across this quote and thought I'd share it, in opens of getting us out of the rainy doldrums.

While taking a walk today, and it wasn't raining either, I came across these flowers and thought I would share it with the rest of you. I'm not sure what kind they are, but the fragrance is so soft and sweet smelling.
I took it easy today... tired from all the cleaning from this past week. You can read about it on Pay It Forward. Hope all of you are enjoying this *non rainy* Sunday for a change.
RENTING...... new criteria before leasing a property. In all the years I have been a Realtor and have been renting homes, in and area Cromwell, CT, this is a first to the criteria in finding a home suitable to a clients needs.
Most people are looking for a certain number of bedrooms, and locations to schools. Other have come to me wishing to rent where the owners will allow pets. Never is it easy to find everything a renter is looking for, just like when it comes to purchasing a home.
However today, I received a call with a criteria I have NEVER had to address before. Here is the exact quote from the email I received.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, your email went into my junk folder. I have now added you to my address book so that should not happen again.I am new to the area and I am looking for a place where there are a lot of single ladies. Do you think this is the right place? Or something else?
This was my response...
"LOL. This is a first. Sorry, we are not a dating service and have no idea of the *martial status* of the woman in a complex... that is not public knowledge. If you are interested in *real estate rentals* let me know what you are looking.
Have any of you EVER run into this scenario before?
If you are looking for a rent in Middlesex County CT, in and around the Cromwell and Middletown areas, I'll be glad to help you. But don't waste my time if you are not serious.
I received another email from this person.. ready for this??? He would like me to send him my phone number so he can call and get the ball rolling. Seems reasonable right? Now if he would only read to the bottom of the email... my info (name, address, website, phone numbers and company name are at the bottome of EVERY ONE!!!

All I can say is "Thank you, Valerie". She explained every detail along the way. I was originally thinking of renting, but she explained all the "pros" and "Cons" of renting verse buying, and with the tax credit, it was a no brainer.. I bought a condo, she explained every step along the way, and now I'm a proud homeowner.

This might be short and sweet, but what else is needed on a card that is attached to a floral arrangement. YES every year (so far) I have gotten flowers from this couple with appreciation of the job I did. It doesn't get any better than this.
My daughter was looking for her first place, and she came across Valerie's name on ActiveRain. They both hit it off, but I found this uneasy at first, Realtors are like car salesmen... and least that was my thought. I went out with my daughter on showings, but after a while didn't feel the need to any longer. Not only did Valerie have my daughters best interest in mind, she treated my daughter as if she was family. When does a Realtor do this?
My daughter bought a condo and has been it in for about a year. Not only has she referred friends to Valerie, but so have I... and will continue to do so.
