Anyone else out there have a LOVE/HATE relationship with their i-phone? I mean I lOVE how it's got everything I need to function throughout just ONE day.

It's my alarm clock each morning

I check weather before I leave the house

I send & receive email.

I can make a call.

I can text while I'm on a call.

I can send email while talking too.... all while listening to my i-Pod (IF I'm on the Elliptical)!

I can use any of the 150,000+ apps (well i dont have them all) while I'm on the phone texting, talking or emailing to look up the nearest Starbucks, set my DirecTV DVR at home, pay bills, find the nearest restaurants, record voice memo reminders to self, rent movies on redbox to pick up before i get home, find the nearest Happy Hours at my current location, get driving directions.

My favorite apps though - Facebook at a touch of 1 button. Shazam a cool song while driving. And the latest & greatest (drrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmm rrrroooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllll)

<<< It's now my Supra eKey >>> therefore elimanting the need to carry anything else besides my i-phone, car keys & purse. NEXT they'll let you PAY using your i-Phone so you don't need to carry your purse or wallet! WOW! I can't wait!

ALL this comes with a PRICE though.... when it goes down! it goes down! I'm on my 2nd NEW i-Phone 4 and I think I need a 3rd... last week while just sitting on my desk the i-Phone over heated as if I was laying out by the pool in Palm Springs & I left the i-phone in the sun... weird!

Today, this morning, and why I am writing this, it just went DARK. Played dead or so i thought. Turns out that it just shut down. Turned off! All by itself! Little did I know that at first until all my FB friends suggested I "Hold the power button and the home button at the same time for 15 seconds" and i thought that was only when the darn thing was acting up.....

Turns out when in DOUBT - ALWAYS "Hold the power button and the home button at the same time for 15 seconds" and you'll be good to go!

So the next time your i-Phone mis-behaves DON'T pass go, DON'T collect $200, Just hard re-boot! Seems to be the FIX-ALL! Happy i_phoning friends!

Be CAREFUL >> Desperate Times bring out SCAMS >> DON'T let this happen to YOU!!

Last week Wednesday morning 11/03/10 at 9:50am I received a Buyer lead from my website Hanover Properties sub tab "Help Me Find My Next Home"and as any Real Estate Broker/Agent I was thrilled to see this potential Buyer was looking to BUY right away in Glendora/Covina from $800,000 - $3M, ALL CASH, and was extremely specific as to what they wanted. Less than 1 hour later I sent this potential Buyer an email with an MLS link that I had already scrubbed using her requirements and within minutes we were communicating. Of the 21 homes she identified, there were 6 she wanted to see the very next day. Some homes required Buyer pre-screening which is typical in that price range.

My 1st clue should have been when she could not get me her POF (Proof of Funds) right away stating she was flying out of town Friday etc. Then she didnt want to come into my office in Glendora rather she wanted me to meet her at a local school, Merced Elementary in West Covina. I made the appointment anyway, how could I say no, right? She wanted to know what type of car I drove and I didnt tell her rather asked her for her cell. She gave me Colorado pre-fix so her story of flying out of town added up. And i scrubbed her email address & found her FB account. The cell I couldnt find, I think it was pre-paid.

Later that night I tried several times to confirm my appt. with her and she never replied. When i woke up Thursday morning I had a text from her at 1am. It was then that I thought something isnt right here... who does that? She became frantic, almost desperate, when i had my Assistant call & text her to tell her that unless she CALLED my office direct I was NOT meeting her. She called my Assistants cell instead and practically begged me to take her to whatever homes I could. That she would be fast.

I agreed to meet her at the school but took another Broker in my office, a male. And when we got there I parked past the school so I could scope out the situation. Turns out she & someone else were waiting for me in a parked car at the school parking lot. And she, well lets just say - it looked like she'd been up all night and doing things I do not want to say and most definatley not dressed like someone who could afford to buy an $800,000 to $3M home.

I immediatley said I'm out of here!!!! And we returned to my office. There was NO way I was gong to let her in my car. What was in her large bag? A weapon maybe? Or maybe the other person was going to follow us? Maybe she was planning to steal cash or jewelry (using her bag) from the Homewoners of the homes we were going to see. Or maybe she was just planning to "case" the place, find easy points of entry or if it had an alarm etc... so she/they could return later to commit a robbery.

Regardless, NO commission, large or small is worth it and more importantly, I value my life and the safety of others as well. Not to mention my professional repuation as a Real Estate Broker. The last thing I want is to have a Buyer that I brought to a home cause harm in anyway shape or form to any family. What would that say about me!

Agents IF it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Homeowners be careful of who enters your home when you are selling it. CAUTION to Agents & Homeowners alike - please be very careful & beware of the scams!!

Please feel free to contact me for more detailed information on this woman if you think you too have been a target to her scam.
