I have been a Real Estate Investor for about 2 years before my mentor and coach told me how important it was to get my Real Estate License. Besides getting access to the MLS and other resources that the local Board of Realtors provides, I would also understand the language and the responsibilty that the other Realtors have in meeting the state's requirements to buy and sell real estate in New York.
When I passed New York's Real Estate Salesperson License Exam, I wanted to find a brokerage that would meet my philosphy of working with a team to create a Win-Win for all parties involved. As a Real Estate Investor, I felt I had a lot more to offer a brokerage than the regular "Newbie" out there. Many brokerages I interviewed did not meet what I was looking for or would not even consider a "Part Timer" for entry into their firm. It was very disheartening but I was determined to find one.
One day, my friend's husband, Carl, told me about this company that was growing quickly and had at their core the philosphy I was looking for. He told me of this woman who was relocating up to Long Island from Arkansas to open a new office with her Brother and Sister-in-Law. He gave me her contact information for me to talk to her.
When I called Susan, she had this warm, southern accent that placed me at ease immediately. We talked about what I was doing and what I wanted to do in Real Estate and in my life. We talked for about 30 minutes and agreed to meet the following week when she arrived from Arkansas.
It was a warm, sunny day. I had collected a great deal of information about the current market area for Susan to review. I wanted to show her what an asset I would be to her new office. I was waiting at a local Starbucks when Susan and her Sister-in-Law, Elta, walked in. She greeted me like a dear friend who you haven't seen in years. We sat down and we began to talk about her pending move up to Long Island, her family as well as my family and what I have been doing. I went over the material I brought for her and she had material about Exit for me to read and went through the program.
When she was through, she asked me if this was something I wanted to be a part of. I could not get the words out fast enough. This was more than I could have hoped for starting out on this new career. Compared to the many other brokerages I interviewed, this was a "No Brainer."
Below, here are my reasons I decided to be part of the EXIT Realty family.
Why I am with EXIT Realty:
So I want to challenge you: Why aren't you with EXIT?
I want to help you as Carl helped me. This is part of the philosphy I mentioned earlier. This is my way of giving back and creating a Win-Win situation.
Contact me and I will be happy to talk to you about the EXIT system. After we talk, if you want to know more, I can get you in touch with a broker who will sit down and talk with you about EXIT.
I believe everyone has an obligation to their family and to themselves to at least find out more about how EXIT can enhance their Real Estate career and life. It may not be for you. You will never know unless you ask.
Another key aspect to becoming an agent with EXIT is that you will have me. That may sound a little egotistical but I don't mean it to be. You will have a cheerleader on your side that will be there to help. Not a competing agent but your sponsor who wants you to do well. A sponsor who will help you along the way. I am very good at analyzing deals and figureing out what to do to with a property. That is from my experience as an investor. I will always be there to help you when you need it.
Why Aren't You With EXIT?
