I had a closing in the Plano Real Estate market last month and I thought that was a bear to deal with. Now a month later and the buzz feels better within the Dallas Real Estate area, what's going on with some of the lenders?
I opened an offer first part of March and we went through the normal steps... Inspection, Appraisal, Survey, etc... then 1 week before closing the lender said, "Terms and conditions have changed". Ok, why now, we were prequalified a month ago, and now they are raising the interest rates and the ratio's are all screwed up. Is this a bad lender?, or do terms on loans go through that many changes.
Well, with the sour taste in my buyers mouth we attempted another lender. The loan is very close to being done, but there are still issue's and my buyer has a 780 credit score. If they are making it this hard to buy a home, what can we do???
If you are looking for a home in the North Dallas area you might look at Plano or Allen, but with low property taxes, great schools, and all the shopping you could wish for...look into the Frisco Real Estate market. Frisco is currently made up of two sections West and East sides. East Frisco was built primarily in the 90's and has great buys for first time buyers. East Frisco is close to all the shopping, dining, and close to the major highways for easy access to neighboring cities.
West Frisco is new, hip and pricey, however with the right Frisco Realtor to navigate you through this sprawling community, you will be very happy with your next home. However the only warning is "Traffic", in some area's the commute can take several minutes to go 5 miles.
Regardless of East side or West side, Frisco has everything to offer. If you like sports, Frisco is home to Pizza Hut park where FC Dallas plays it's soccer games. Pizza Hut park also has major concerts such as Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, and Edgefest. Down the tollway you will find the Frisco Rough-riders and the Frisco Tornado's. Both are minor league clubs for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars respectfully.
Shopping, WOW, Frisco is home to Stonebriar Centre with 160 stores. With Stonebriar Centre you will find hundreds of other retail shops like Ikea and many others. Do you like to eat? Frisco is a foodies dream with every restaurant you could wish for.
So, with interest rates at roughly 5% and the government giving 8K back on FHA purchases, now is the time to head north and call us for a list of Frisco homes for sale. See you soon.
