For years and years I've backed up my data. I've backed up to floppy drives (what a silly name), to zip drives, then to CD and then DVD.

I want my data protected. A DVD in my office and a back up DVD in the safe in the basement. All my files from 15 years of Real Estate and personal records have been backed up this way.

Amazed at learning that a regular DVD is only good for 2-5 years I've backed them up again to Gold DVD that are good for 100 years. These I purchased from Fear Not Computers. I always gave copies of the closing documents to my clients on DVD or CD so they would ALWAYS have a copy around.

How many of you are relying on DVDs to back up your photos, papers and emails ( yes every email from my clients) not knowing that the life span is so short?

I take hundreds of photos for every project that I'm now Orchestrating. There are pictures of the before, during and after. The clients copy will go on a Gold DVD and my computer will now get backed up electronically every day.

P.S. I'm so greatful the Fear Not Compters (owned by my son) keeps me up to date on security and back up news and information.

The house was trapped in another time period.

The fireplace has brass and the idea of changing that didn't make me happy at all.  I decided to use a blend of old and new.

The ceiling was very busy with large brass fixtures

Stage-Show-Sell has orchestrated another Estate. The dad has passed away and mom is in a nursing home. All their adult children live out of state so ................who's around to handle the house but SSS?

This is our specialty........taking the stress off of the family. Can they take time off of work for a month? Leave the family behind to work on the family home?

Their time is better spent taking care of mom

Both parents were sick for many years and the house was neglected.

I take these challenges to heart and jump into them with both feet. This project has so many issues that I or the family didn't see right off so the project took almost three months from organizing for the estate sale to the listing with a realtor.

For me staging is the final step in the process of the total Orchestration.

We did the Estate Sale to sell the items the family need want or need and the process began.

Converting this room was fun.

I LOVED changing the color of the wood to make the room look so much bigger.

All these complaints about this being a bad market and this house sold 7 days after being put in the hands of a realtor.

I posted this staging job that was one of the estates that Stage-Show-SEll staged this fall. The owners thought that they would do a FSBO for a couple of months. This effort cost them about $15,000 dollars.

The houses in that area are dropping fast. The CMA showed them that another 400 houses had hit the market in that area because of foreclosures. Finally after 3 months of trying FSBO they listed.

The house had an offer (within $500 of the agents estimate) in 7 days. The buyers realtor said that our house looked the best of any on the market.

This week Stage-Show-Sell has been working on an Estate in Royal Oak. We organize, toss out and sell what we can for the family. Then we paint clean and stage according to the budget.

It's a lot of work and it's great feeling of satisfaction when we are finished. This weeks sale was a little different. First the big snow storm hit on the final day of the sale. I think we will have to do it another day.

We advertise for our sales in papers and CraigsList (which I absolutely love). I received an offer to purchase furniture sight unseen. Isn't that the greatest EVER? He would send me a check and arrange for the pick up of the furniture. Isn't that WONDERFUL? The check would be enough for the pickup and the furniture and an additional $50 for my efforts. (Gosh a tip) Isn't that GREAT?

The check arrived on Thursday and for $250 worth of furniture and my $50 tip.......... and of course enough for the trucker. The trucker had to pick up more items from different sales for there was EXTRA just in case. WOW what a great buyer. The check was for $2020 and any extra I should WESTERN UNION to a bank.

Now it's that the greatest buyer ever!!!!!!!

The check was from JP Morgan Chase and if you are all following this...................... My mother didn't raise any fool. The first thing I did Friday morning was take the check to the bank...........There is no such account at that bank.

Who ever heard of sellers beware???

The fraud seems to be early this Christmas Season and I'm wondering if they are targeting Estate Sales thinking that they are getting seniors to fall for their tricks.

Since "no harm" was done the police department won't/can't do anything. I'll be copying everything that I can for the Bank to work with. They are aware of this scam.
