I noticed while Christmas shopping at Glenbrook Mall this past November that there were a ton of people out spending money. This was obvious by all of the shopping bags they were toting around. I was really worried up until that point that it was going to be a long winter in real estate. However, I remained hopeful that this buyer confidence in retail would trickle over into the real estate market.
We all know traditionally, December is a pretty slow month when it comes to selling houses. It's a good thing I was busy with holiday gatherings, work parties, and family functions to keep my mind off of the lack of activity in the marketplace. But wouldn't you know it, the first week of January came along and my phone was ringing off of the hook with showing requests and yard sign calls. I'm so excited about what 2011 is going to bring and encouraged by how busy I am this early in the year. The spring market isn't even upon us yet!
To your success,
Aaron Hoover
