MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2008 HYATT REGENCY GREENWICH
Victoria Lorusso - Chairperson
Please join me in the largest celebration of sports in Fairfield County that is set for Monday, Oct 20 as the 4th Annual Sports Night gala takes place at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich at 6 pm. The event, presented by the Fairfield County Sports Commission, spotlights the rich history and future of sports in our area.
Designed to unite the Fairfield County sports community, the annual fundraisin g dinner honors athletes and significant sports figures at all levels. This high profile event recognizes a "Sportsperson of the Year" in each of the 15 communities the Commission serves, as well as staging the induction ceremonies for the newest members of the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame.
Funds raised by the Sports Commission, which is a 501c3 non-profit organization, are committed to developing, implementing and supporting community programs designed to promote and educate children on fitness awareness and leading an active, healthy lifestyle. These initiatives, whether created by the Sports Commission or in conjunction with local youth and educational organizations, are targeted to increase physical activity for the nearly 110,000 school-age youngsters in the communities the Commission oversees.
While supporting a good cause, join the ar ea's biggest gathering of sports celebrities and personalities for an evening filled with fun and nostalgia. Silent and live auctions, featuring great sports memorabilia, will also be highlights of this special night. We also will be honoring our Chelsea Cohen Courage Award winner and recognizing a Special Olympics sportsperson of the year.
We hope you can join us and support this very important event. Tickets for the dinner are $125 ($150 after Oct. 6) and are available online. Tables of 10 may be purchased for $1,250. Program book ads range from $1000 for a full page to $100 for a business card/tribute listing.

Buyers Market?
Yes and I sold my home in one day at full price!
Yes it's true! I've been wanting to move for the longest time but my youngest child was in the wrong school district. Now he is in the right one in highschool. I watched a neighbors house sell in three days with multiple offers and then watched another similar home have the same thing happen. So I hopped to it. Got the best stager to help me get my home ready. I priced my home at the bottom of the competition, no brainer for no ego. And it worked!
If you want to move up and are realistic, now is the time!!! If you price your home right, it will sell. The reality is that we have lots of buyers in the market. They are circling, know the market and they will pounce when they see the right deal. And so will you for what you want to buy. For the first time in years the disparity in moving up is at it's lowest! You might be selling lower but you will buying lower too likely.
Do you know what your home is worth? Call me for a no obligation market opinion. Want to view all available properites in your search area? Go to www.homesoffairfieldcounty.com .

Green is the new movement. Why? Global warming awareness is on the move and rightly so. As much as we all are trying to be more aware, we continue to contribute to pollution just by the pure fact of our population. The Green movement in building is growing and responds in so many ways to living in a clean and pure environment while contributing to restoring nature's balance.
LEED certification is now a major mover in this cause. Building projects must go through a rigid point system to achieve a certification status which is offered at different levels. Previously, this has been mostly focused on commercial projects but is now moving into residential.
I will be writing more about this process but for now want to tell you about Connecticut's first Green certified residential developement. Located in North Stamford on the NY/Greenwich border are 74 pristine acres, (25 of which being donated to the Land Trust) with 24 English Garden style homes in construction. This exclusive, gated community offers 4 different models of homes that offer an amazing array of customization. You can select home theatres, gyms, wine cellars, elevators, custom gardens and so much more. All with green in mind including optional geothermal heating and cooling systems.
Every home shares in the exclusive club house created only for these homes. A million dollar in house resort with club house, pool and tennis at the sole use of these homeowners only. And all of these homes share pristine waterviews of the lakes and ponds on the property.
This is a one of a kind developement just being unveiled now. The model home is complete and private tours are now available. Call me for details at 203-324-9600 or email me at vmll@kw.com .
