Here are 5 reasons why Buyers are jumping off the fence this summer:
1. Record low housing prices AND interest rates….affordability is at an all-time high!
2. Many Sellers are highly motivated to sell their Seattle condo or Seattle townhome. Remember that not all Sellers are distressed these days….some are ready to buy their move up or dream home now that it is in their comfort price range.
3. Lending standards may not be as tight as you think they are. It’s worth meeting with a lender to discuss your options.
4. With more and more Buyers making their move, the number of days a Seattle townhome or Seattle condo is on the market continues to decrease. Desirable properties are seeing multiple offers and you can no longer assume a Seattle townhome or Seattle condo that is available today will still be available next week. Fear of loss is a powerful motivating factor.
5. A new construction shortage is bound to hit our area due to the fact that builders have drastically reduced the number of building permit requests in all counties
The Bottom Line: Don’t let this time pass by without taking action! It is bound to be a “remember when” kind of era that many will talk about and will end up kicking themselves for not investing when they had the opportunity to do so.
