If your dog loves to swim, here is an opportunity to have water fun at Upper Arlington Swimming Pool located in Northam Park, off of Tremont Road. For convenience, more information is provided below, along with a link. Sounds like a lot of fun, but unfortunately, my dog Aussie is not attracted to water (his lab half must not be dominant). The City of Upper Arlington Aquatics Division will host its sixth annual Doggie Dips at the Tremont Pool in Northam Park on Thursday and Friday, August 21 and 22 from 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, August 23 and 24 from 2 to 5 p.m. The event costs $5 per dog per visit. Filter and chlorination systems will be shut down in preparation of Doggie Dip. Owners are not permitted to swim with their dogs. Doggie Dip guidelines include: • Maximum of 100 dogs permitted on site at one time. • All dogs should be clean and should not be fed within two hours of attending the event. • All dogs must have a current dog license and proof of a current rabies vaccination. • Please keep dogs on a leash when out of water. • A waiver of liability must be signed by the dog owner. • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their own pet. • Please make sure your dog is well exercised before arriving. • Aggressive dogs are not permitted. This dog park has a separate small dog area and drinking water. Large Fenced area for both small and large dogs. This was a former field, so there are no shade trees (at least for years to come). People sitting area is limited to one picnic table. Volunteers bring waste bags and drinking water.

It was a beautiful day to visit the Alum Creek Dog Park, located in the Alum Creek State Park located in Delaware Ohio, just off of Old State and Hollenbeck Roads. Lots of pooches to pal around with!

The Alum Creek Dog Park is 4-acre free public dog park and includes fully fenced areas for small & large dogs and a dog beach at the lake. All areas have shade trees and benches (wish there were more people benches) Water is brought in by volunteers

Love the setting! One of the more scenic dog parks around. Waste bags are provided.

Alum Creek Dog Park is located at 3992 Hollenback Road, Lewis Center, Ohio.

A wish item would be a on-site water pump and more park benches. The Friends Group is raising money to provide lighting to allow night time visits.

Yesterday Aussie visited the Gahanna Dog Park at Pizzurro Park on the east side of Columbus for the first time.

Located off of Hamilton Road across from the airport, just south of the Route 270 ramp, this is Gahanna's first public dog park. It is a 2 acre fenced area where dogs may run off-leash. It contains a separate fenced area for small dogs 25 pounds or less and an agility area for all dogs. The park also has an unfenced area for off-leash play. Through the large dog area, there is a paved path that makes it accessible for wheelchairs.

Because this is a Gahanna City Park, it is a free park that is open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk. It is operated and maintained by the Gahanna Parks and Recreation Department.

Beatiful setting among mature trees, but plenty of open space for ball chasing and free range romping. Also includes benches for their humans. Volunteers bring water jugs, toys and waste bags.
