A little about me

My career in Toronto real estate provides me the most interesting and satisfying work I have ever done. It is a great pleasure to bring Buyers and Sellers together, guiding them safely through the challenging steps of buying and selling a home.

I have been a South Annex resident (Toronto central downtown) since 1991; ten years ago I became a home owner and landlord in Harbord Village, a neighbourhood I know intimately.

In the decade before entering real estate I had overlapping careers as a graphic designer, webmaster, antiques dealer & home renovator. The previous decade I worked as an editor, an author, and as a journalist at the Financial Times of Canada (Toronto), The Ottawa Citizen, and The Calgary Herald. In 1992, as part of my training as a business and investment journalist, I took the Canadian Securities Course, passing with Honours. In 1993 I published the book Pay Yourself First: Donald Cormie and the Principal Group of Companies, an analysis of the events behind the 1987 collapse of the Alberta-based financial services conglomerate Principal Group.

These services undoubtedly helped to get a quick sale.

Wendy also recommended a pre-listing inspection and this turned out to be very sound advice. She obtained a survey from Toronto City Hall and also dealt with a Toronto Heritage Preservation Officer and a Building Inspector to quickly resolve a sticky problem related to the heritage designation of the property.

Wendy's support also continued after the Agreement of Purchase & Sale was signed. She actually donated her time to help patch some walls as requested by the purchaser.

I found Wendy to be hardworking, enthusiastic, and sincere. She is very knowledgeable about the area and is a diligent researcher. I recommend her highly.
