Love golf?

If you do, then you're going to enjoy taking some time off from the regular work schedule and heading north to Loomis Trail Golf Course to watch some of the best.

There will be 20 teams, 5 on each team. Golfers from all across the USA. They will be practicing Sunday and Monday, rounds begin on Tuesday and will end on Friday.

Practice: Sunday May 17th and Monday May 18th

Tournament: Tuesday May 19th thru Friday May 22nd.

This will be at no charge to the public to watch; however, course management asks that you stay on the cart path and stay at least 15 feet from the players.

Loomis Trail Golf Course is Located at: 4342 Loomis Trail, Blaine, WA 98230

Phone: 360.332.1725 or (Pro Shop) 360.332.8138

Directions: I-5 to exit 270 (Birch Bay Lynden Road), West to Peace Portal Drive. Turn right on Peace Portal Drive and go north to Loomis Trail--make sure you turn LEFT on Loomis Trail (WEST). Loomis Trail is a split road. One portion will take you to the east over the Hwy-not the correct road or direction. When you reach Loomis Trail, turn left (west) and drive approximately 1 1/2 miles. The course is on the north side of the road.

Be sure to congratulate Golf Course Superintendant, Bill Dierdorff, on the beautiful course and a job well done!

The Curry House--Great Indian Food

One of the best Indian restaurants in NW Washington is The Curry House in Ferndale, Washington. The address is: 2034 Main Street. Food at the Curry House is better than any Indian food I have had in NW Washington or across the border in Canada...Surrey, Cloverdale, Whiterock, Van Couver! The owners do the cooking, actually come back to your table and want to know how you enjoyed their food. Lamb Curry is a must try...enjoy

Blaine Restaurants

Blaine restaurants provide a wide variety of dining experiences.  Whether you're looking for a fancy, gourmet dinner or a quick lunch with friends, one of the many Blaine restaurants will suit your needs.

Bella Marina is a popular Blaine restaurant for locals and visitors alike.  Views of the Marina and Semiahmoo Resort accompany authentic, Sicilian food for a wonderful lunch or dinner.   Delicious pastas, steaks, pizzas and more ensure that just about any diner can find something they love, and the chefs have a flair for making food just as beautiful as it is delicious.   When visiting Bella Marina, be sure to finish your meal with their incredible tiramisu! Paso Del Norte serves great Mexican cuisine as equally excellent prices.  Located just blocks from the U.S./Canadian border, Paso Del Norte adds the final North American touch to your international experience.  The dishes are typical for Mexican-American restaurants, but the portions are even larger than usual.  On Friday nights, customers enjoy live music, and it is one of the few Blaine restaurants with a lounge (usually open until 1 a.m.).  (758 Peace Portal Drive , 360.332.4045)

For lighter fare, check out the Seaside Bakery Café.  It is one of the most popular Blaine restaurants for breakfast and lunch, largely due to their incredible home-baked bread and friendly service.   The Bakery also roasts their own meats, making the tasty sandwiches unique and fresh.  Many customers stop by to grab a whole, warm pie, or relax and enjoy their lunch in the bright, roomy dining room.
