If you need something fun to do on a Friday night in Ocean Isle Beach, head over to the parking lot at the Museum of Coastal Carolina for the Friday night concerts. Sponsored by the Ocean Isle Beach Property Owners Association, these FREE weekly concerts during the summer feature bands from bluegrass to beach music, and everything else in between.
The Craig Woolard Band will be performing at the next concert on Friday, July 25. This band does beach music covers, as well as their own original beach music recordings. Everyone who has seen this band in the past will agree that they are a high-energy band and put on a great show.
On Friday, August 1, The Imitations will provide a high-energy show including beach music and Motown favorites. The performers for the remaining August concerts will be Andrew Thielen Big Band (Aug. 8), Pantastic Steel (Carribean-style steel drum band) (Aug, 15), Goldrush (Oldies, beach, country) (Aug. 22), and Sea Cruz (beach music)(Aug. 29).
Although the concerts are scheduled to start at 6:30 pm, you should plan on being at the Museum of Coastal Carolina up to an hour before show time, as the best seating areas fill up fast. You should bring your own seating (lawn chairs). Some concert attendees even bring their own food and favorite beverages.
See, some things in life are still free!
