"Our days are like identical suitcases-all the same size, some people pack more in them than others." (Anon)

My wife is one of those people that can pack a suitcase like no other. I declare, when we go on trips, she can pack everything except the kitchen sink. She also is one of the hardest workers I know. She plans her choices wisely each morning, preparing for the things she wants to accomplish that day. Some people might think she is a little over the top but, in reality, it is a wise move because she knows how valuable time is.

Two pessimists met at a party. Instead of shaking hands, they shook heads. (Anon)

I was driving though a parking lot the other day and I saw two people having a conversation. I couldn't hear them, but they were quite animated. I can tell you that, whatever they were talking about, it had them shaking their heads so much, they looked like a couple of bobble head dolls! I didn't need to hear them to know that they were complaining about something and not solving anything. Stay away from the bobble heads in life and work with people who have their heads firmly planted on their shoulders.

Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are. (malcolm Forbes)

Are you good at something? Of course you are! Do you remember the game where you would put as many pennies on your elbow as possible, then swing your arm down quickly to try and catch as many as you could in your hand? I used to be really good at that, but, I can remember driving my mom crazy because, when I missed, there were coins everywhere. You should be proud of who you are and not be burdened by others expectations. I challenge you to make a list of what you are truly good at, you may discover you have many more talents than you realized. This will help you catch the real coin in life.

Before everything ese, getting ready is the secret of success. (Henry Ford)

I started the New Year by watching too much football. I noticed that the announcers, no matter what game I turned to were constantly making references to which coach had prepared the best game plan. As you start the New Year do you have your game plan in place? If not, now is the time to implement your plan for a successful 2009.

Success Is simply a matter of luck. Ask Any failure. (Anon)

I have taught my kids that I don't believe in or depend on luck for anything. I have taught them that the only thing they will receive in life isthe opportunities they create for themselves through diligenceand hard work. If you truly were waiting for luck to show up you could be waiting your whole life. I don't want to wait that long!! So plan, prepare and execute. Have a great New Year!
