It is great to be part of a company such as Keller Williams Realty that invests so much time and energy into their Realtors. Here is just a few of the things I picked up today. This is only the surface of my takeaways from day 1 of Keller Williams Realty Mega Camp 2011.
1. Gary Keller - You have to earn the right not to do those things before handing it off.
2. Gary Keller - If you start taking pieces back, you have the wrong person.
3. An executive assistant should be an SC with a trailing D. (DISC)
4. Gary Keller - If you argue for your limitations, you get to keep them.
5. Tony DiCello - "You are the pest until you become the invited guest."
6. Kristan Cole - Dont hire for where you are, but instead hire for where you are going.
7. Kristan Cole - If you want to get big, first you have to get small.
8. John O'Leary - "People treat you the way you treat yourself."
9. John O'Leary - When you make excuses, your going to be right.
Here are videos including the kickoff of Keller Williams Mega Camp 2011, Pam Rose singing the inspirational song "My Life" for the Mega Camp attendees, one of the world's greatest guitarist Monte Montgomery, and KW Cares Party with a Purpose benefiting the Will Norton Memorial Fund (Joplin, Missouri). Wow, I can only imagine what day 2 will bring at Keller Williams Mega Camp 2o11.

Join the Keller Williams Realty Memorial Team Meeting on September 13th 2011
By: Jeremy Williams, Assistant Team Leader/Productivity Coach, Keller Williams Memorial
At our last Team Meeting, we learned about our mystery agent - Dawn Gervais, discussed the new seller's disclosure which went into effect September 1, 2011 and learned how to put contacts in eEdge on a 33 touch campaign. We brought back our "Fill The Bucket" segment and learned how to overcome objections to price reductions during our "Angry Agent" segment with Mark Fuller and Pat Welsh. Finally, we went over fair-housing laws during our "Did Ya Know" segment.
At our next Team Meeting, you will learn about a new mystery agent, our new commercial logo will be revealed and find out the rule for hydrostatic testing when the seller refuses to have it done. Come see Agent Service's new segment - "The Situation". During this segment, Betty Bezemer and Melonee Piperi will show you how a buyer's agent presents an offer to a listing agent. Also, KW Memorial has hit a new milestone! Come to the meeting to find out what it is and celebrate with us! Finally, we will have our "Fill The Bucket" segment again, which we ask you to share something nice about another agent. Whatever it is, we want to hear about it!
Jenny Nguyen with Darling Homes will be here to provide lunch.
I hope everyone can join us!
I realized this morning while at the office that the email I had sent out regarding coaching last Tuesday had never left my inbox. So here you go…
During the last month of coaching we have dedicated our time together talking about time management and commitment to our businesses. On Tuesday we talked as a group about the importance of having a business plan. A business plan creates a map showing us the path to achieving our goals. As we watched in the video, a business plan should always be 2-3 pages at the most. If a business plan is any longer, more than likely you will not review your business plan on a regular basis because of the complexity of the plan.
Here are some great tools for developing a business plan.
Login to KWConnect…
1. Login at http://kwconnect.kw.com/
2. Click on the ‘Agents’ tab.
3. Click on ‘Business Planning’ located in the center panel.
Business Planning Toolkit
1. Login to http://mykw.kw.com
2. Scroll over the ‘Education’ tab at the top of the page, and click on ‘Keller Williams University’.
3. Click on ‘All Products’ in the menu bar on the left side of the page, and select ‘Browse A – Z’.
4. Select ‘MREA: Business Planning Clinic’.
5. Click on ‘Toolkit’, and click on ‘Business Plans’.
Spend some time getting to know the products offered by ‘Keller Williams University’. You will find a wealth of information on this site.
Please make sure you get me your weekly numbers by Monday, 8:00am. Your homework for the week was to partner with someone in the coaching program and practice your scripts. The other part of the homework was to speak words of affirmation on your scripts partner. Example: Joey Culotta to Becky Griffin “Becky is an incredible agent. Her energy and passion for the business is unmatched. Becky is successful because she lead generates daily and follows up with leads.”
Thank you again for your commitment to coaching. Have a great weekend!

What is the Commitment Level in Your Real Estate Business? | Keller Williams Realty Houston TX Memorial Coach's Corner
By: Jeremy Williams, Assistant Team Leader and Productivity Coach, Keller Williams Realty Houston TX
In speaking with the coaching groups over the last couple of weeks, we have spent a lot of time on the topic of commitment. Watching a YouTube video featuring Rick and Dick Hoyt of Team Hoyt - a determined and committed father to his son's desires to compete in triathlons overcoming what most would consider impossible - showed us how and what commitment truly looks like at a very high level. Are you committed in your business? Are you doing the daily activities necessary to reach the level of success you desire.
Imagine MTV did a reality show similar to The Real World, but instead it was entitled The Realtor World. Now picture all the cameras honed in on you watching your every move just as they do in most reality tv shows. Now think about those that depend on you doing well in your business being your tv show's audience. They are able to evaluate your commitment level to your job as a Realtor. Ask yourself honestly what they would think about your commitment level to your job over the past few hours, days, weeks and years?
Have we been honest about our commitment level in our daily lives as Realtors? Learn more about the commitments of those currently in the coaching program, and the results they are achieving by being committed to the activity of lead generation by scheduling an appointment with me today. Let me help you take your business to new heights.
