Sell Your Home Quicker & For a Higher Price!

90% of home owners aren’t able to visualize the potential of their homes. Hiring a professional home stager is similar to engaging a crackerjack CPA to do your income taxes. If he/she gets you every possible deduction and a generous refund, you make a lot more money than you spent. Having your home professionally staged costs peanuts compared to the extra dollars your home will bring. A recent Home Gain Survey of over 2,000 realtors estimated that sellers who spent about $500 to stage their homes professionally recovered 343% of that expense when they sold.

Staging will get you the highest price and sell your home quicker, even in a sluggish market.

--U.S. Housing & Urban Development (HUD) reports that a staged home will sell for 17% more, on average, than an un-staged home.

--According to a National Assn. of Realtors survey, homes that sold after 4 weeks on the market went for 6% less than ones that were sold sooner. Village Voice reports than staged homes are on the market half as long as un-staged ones.

What exactly does a home staging pro do? Many offer a free consultation and will estimate the length of time needed to stage your house. Some stagers will quote a fee for the job, others work by the hour. Together you will declutter and pack up the contents. This usually means removing at least 30% of what’s in the home. The result is that the rooms appear larger, the architectural features are more noticeable and the storage spaces look bigger. A good stager has a minimalist touch and will transform each room, creating an idealized, streamlined version.

Ask your realtor today for the names of professional home stagers in your area. Staging your home allows you to compete with all those other properties on the market and to attract the perfect buyer sooner.
