Well, another year, more changes. I guess Obama said we need a change and
GAR listened and updated our contracts with our new 2009 forms. "CHANGE" :-)
I was very happy to attend the class today and learn all about the new changes.
I'm glad that we are kept informed, we have an opportunity to protect the public
and as professionals always learn how "not to get into trouble". Learning is good.
I have been in real estate for 30 years but trust me, every single day I learn
something new. We have to welcome change because if we don't we'll get behind
times. So, if you have not yet taken the class, I encourage you to do it. It was
very informative and fun.
I'm pleased to let you know that we will have a meeting on 2/24/09 in the Johns Creek
Alpharetta, GA area for lunch. I would love to see you there. If you want to expose
your services, your product or yourself internationally, then check us out and R.S.V.P.
at http://www.meetup.com/International-from-A-Z-Advertise-Your-Business/
I'm glad that we are able to help you, answer your questions and improve the exposure
you are looking for. Feel free to contact me for any questions. Thank you, Dagmar
I'm excited to attend the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Meeting
tomorrow during lunch to hear what the Mayor Mike Bodker will share
with all the residents of Johns Creek area about 2009 goals, budget
and updates.
I have lived in the same area for the past 30 years and have seen
Johns Creek/Alpharetta, Georgia transform from a small sleepy town
into a growing area. I hope to see you all there and if you can't
attend I will report tomorrow and I'll try to take good notes.
Have a terrific Wednesday - Dagmar Sands
I don't know about you but technology which is to help me is stealing all of my time lately.
I know that there are merge programs, but with having a laptop, office computer and home
computer, I find myself trying to sync my databases and get very frustrated. Top Producer
when you are trying to import your contacts into it will duplicate records and it takes hours
to try to go through them to delete the duplicates.
If anyone can help me and explain to me how can you merge your Plaxo, LinkedIn, Outlook
and Top Producer I would be greatful to receive any tips you may have.
It's funny, I kept thinking that both of my sons when they were going through college once
they learned all about computers they would teach me. After all, I was happy to pay for their
college so that they later could help me. Well, they are too busy with their own lives and their
own work that I need to learn technology on my own.
Don't get me wrong - I do love it and I love learning it - I just get overwhelmed sometimes.
I belong to all the social networks, I blog at numerous locations, I run my own web design
and I help others if they need me. I just want to learn shortcuts and make it work for me
instead me having to work for this technology.
I have been sitting at my latptop honestly from 7:00 p.m. and it's already 2:00 a.m. and
I still have listings to add to websites, e-mails to follow up on and properties to search for
and send to clients. I welcome your tips, shortcut ideas and if I invest a TIME STRETCHER
where I can stretch my 24 hrs. into 30 hrs. I will give you one for FREE. :-) Dagmar
This is National Get Organized Month.
How organized are you? This has always been a pet peeve of mine - trying to get organized
first, then I feel I can do my work more efficiently.
The best way to get organized is to first make a plan. I have created my goal and I'm trying to follow
my plan. When Eileen who wrote "Organizing for Dummies" sent me her e-mail with the following questions I started to answer all of them right away. Perhaps they may also help you.
What is it that you want to organize?
What is working in that area?
What is not working in that area?
What works but could work better?
What do you need to toss?
What do you need to put away?
What do you need to move to another area or
delegate to someone else?
Will the organization affect other people?
If so, who will be affected?
Should they be involved in the organization?
(Are you expected to organize information for your supervisors?)
(Do you share central files with others?)
What systems could you put in place to be better organized?
What supplies or containers do you need to accomplish this?
Break these down into manageable steps.
Answer these questions and you can formulate your plan
for getting organized.
Every day should be a GET ORGANIZED day - that way we would get more accomplished.
If you need help getting organized - just let me know - I will be happy to help you by
sharing what works for me. Dagmar Sands
