Yesterday I tried to sit down with my dad who just retired and teach him how to
use a computer. My dad still is resisting. He has retired in January of last year
and he is very bored at home. I thought finding ways to google interesting
subjects, visit his home country of Czech Republic would interest him. Well,
he watched me as I showed him what to do and how to do it and then said
NO... I don't think this is for me.
My dad is old fashioned and he's from the old school! That's o.k. I am patient
with him because when I was growing up he was patient with me. The role
somehow changes as we age. We think we know more than our parents but
in reality, we don't. I only want both of my parents to stay active seniors and
active adults. I will always be there for my parents. I'm also from the old
school. I don't believe in putting your parents in a retirement home. In
my country, Czech Republic, children always took care of their parents.
I have visited many of the adult communities because of my real estate
profession and knowing that this is the future in real estate. I am pleased
to see our adult seniors very active. Just last week I heard of a couple that
lives in one of the Parc communities in their eighties that they walk up the
stairs each morning up to the 19th floor. That's incredible! Congratulations
to them. Let's all stay active, let's all do our part to take care of our parents.

What an incredible event at the Belk Store at the FORUM in Peachtree Corners.
Members of the board dressed up as models and showed off latest fashions at the Belk.
It was educational, funny, entertaining and a blast.
I have met so many different people from all walks of life. Photographers, Financial
Planners, Gourmet Chefs, Hairstylists, Chiropractors, Advertising Magazine Owners,
Realtors and many others.
When I walked away I felt inspired, excited to do business in Johns Creek, GA.
I am proud to be a member of the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce in Johns Creek,
Georgia.
I have always looked at things in a different light. I was given a God given talent
to see things not for what they are but what they can be. That is why my success
in selling real estate for 30 years is directly related to this talent. I have SOLD
homes that other Realtors could not sell because I marketed them in a unique way.
I created POWERHOUSE plan when things were slow and were not selling. I joined
organizations and networked so that my sellers would get exposure to their listings
not just locally but nationally and internationally.
I have SOLD churches when other agents laughed at me when I told them I was
a "Church Specialist". I resold a Romanian Baptist church to a Japanese School. I
knew that the school needed large room and the sanctuary was perfect for graduation
services. Sunday School classrooms became school classrooms. It all worked out
perfectly. I have turned old car lots into church parking lots.
I have SOLD land and lots to huge developers and it all started because I was willing
to start with a small lot which led to larger tracts of land. I went overseas to represent
US seller to make sure his closing went smoothly and money was transferred to his
account without delays or problems.
When I tell my story at conferences I have been told to write it all down. That is why
I started writing my book called "How I became a Purple Snowflake in Real Estate".
It's a book sharing unique approach to selling real estate.
It's funny - I have posted a brief note on Facebook about it and I have already
PRESOLD copies. This has inspired me more to finish the book and share it with
my colleagues, my friends and my clients. So be on a lookout for it!

I have been very fortunate for many years to list and sell UNIQUE
properties and UNIQUE homes. Why? Because I use unique approach
to everything I do in real estate. I am different and I call myself the
"Purple Snowflake" in my market.
I was an International Property Specialist with CIPS designation back
in the early 1990's. I was #46 out of 800,000 Realtors to earn this
designation because I wanted to be different. I flew all over the
world to attend FIABCI (The International Real Estate Federation)
meetings, conventions, World Congresses and classes. I completed
my 5 transactions with Foreign buyers and then took the test. I waited
with excitement to get my CIPS designation. I will never forget the
HIGH I felt on the day when I received it. I learned then that when you
do UNIQUE things you get UNIQUE results.
When Mr. Brad Pitts called me and asked me to sell his home I was
very excited. I knew this was a ONE OF A KIND property! The home
was on the market for 2 years and I had to do something different.
I created a beautiful virtual tour www.BradPittsHome.com and started
marketing it through FIABCI broadcast e-mails, through my own
past clients, through my social media and through Proxio. I had
agents from Atlanta to Colorado marketing it on their websites as
well because of the GREATEST TEAMWORK I've created over the years
of SUPERSTARS in Real Estate. We all help each other. I showed the
property so my Czech clients, I marketed it to US, Canadian and
European clients. Seller agreed to pay a higher commission to get it
SOLD quickly.
I've had inquiries from Hawaii, Washington DC, Atlanta, Chicago and
all over about this home. I knew I had a great product, we just needed
a huge marketing campaign. We started to get many showings. We
had several prospects ready to make an offer. We had the local agents
very involved as well. A buyer from Florida ended up buying the property
and we co-oped on the transaction. It SOLD in less than 4 months.
Needless to say - our client Mr. Brad Pitts was very happy and SOLD
the home for the FULL PRICE. Another SATISFIED Customer! That is
My Goal with all of my listings!
