Today is a great day to venture out to see the displays and meet local builders and businesses at the Greater Southwestern Illinois Home Builders Association Home Show at the Belleville, Illinois Fairgrounds.
You'll get fresh ideas (and motivation) to start that remodelling, restoring, or creating project you've been thinking about all winter. If you're thinking of re-doing the landscaping of years past, great ideas abound there. More than 100 local companies are there to showcase their work and services. It's a family affair and parking is free.
Admission is $6.oo for adults, free for children under 12. Exhibition Saturday is until 8:00 PM. Sunday hours are from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
The Belle Clair Fairgrounds Park is at 200 South Belt East, Belleville, Illinois.

Harrisburg, Illinois Relief Effort
Our local Realtor Association of Southwestern Illinois (RASI) with Egyptian Board of Realtors (EBOR) will conduct a tornado relief donation drive for the residents and business of Harrisburg, Illinois who were severely affected by the devastating tornado that went through on February 28.
If you are close to the area, please drop off clothing, toys, bottled water, bathroom supplies, etc. at the RASI parking lot on March 5 through March 9 (until 10:00 AM). There will be a semi-truck in the parking lot for the donations. Monetary donations are also welcome: write the check to Egyptian Board of Realtors, and it will be passed on by RASI.

It's Trick or Treat Time in O'Fallon, Illinois, October 31 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM tonight.
In addition, the City of O'Fallon Police, Fire & Medical Service Departments have provided two Halloween Safe Stops tonight:
Firehouse #1 on 106 East Washington from 6:00 - 8:30 PM and
Central School on 309 Hartman Lane from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
Personally, we look forward to the kids knocking on our door for their candies, (while their parents are hiding behind bushes) every year. Since we moved to this new neighborhood two years ago, we've had more kids drop by and we're just happy to oblige. I hope we get a lot of them tonight. Happy Halloween!
