The Sacred Quiver carries two types of maahotse (arrows), the Straight and the Crooked.

Both arrows represent the movement that is inside each of us as Grandfather (sun) rises and sets. There is movement taken place within us even as we sleep and especially when each of us dreams. Movement is the vehicle for change. There will always be change in our daily lives, either to greater awareness, or deeper denial. Our arrows will either strengthen our heartbeat or weaken it.

Our arrows have a source and a target. You are the source. You are the bow. The target is either connection or separation; connection to Self and the Spirit World as we separate from life’s dramas, or separation from self and the Spirit World as we connect to life’s problems.

I urge you to fill your quiver with straight arrows. Empty your quiver of crooked arrows, as soon as you realize you are carrying them.

We all move along Life Journey's, enjoy the scenery. If you will only take the time, you'll see the Creator. Fish along the way and play.

Pull your canoe up to the shoreline and and reast.

Pick berries and collect them in your birch bark basket.

Enjoy their bitter sweetness. Taste the blackberry, dewberry, black raspberry, and you will taste the Creator. Build a nice fire and cook your fish. Taste the fish and you'll taste the Creator. Burn sage, sweet grass, and cedar. You'll smell the Creator. Watch the sun trail to the West. It's the glory of the Creator. Tell your companios of your journey and listen to theirs. Tell stories around the fire and enjoy each other's company. Tell jokes. Laugh, Enjoy.

Look into the eternal of Cousin Fire and you'll touch the Creator's Pulse. Rest under Grandmother Moon's gaze and sleep well.

Realize that all rivers lead to the ocean. All streams lead to the Creator. We are all related.
