Croydon 250th Anniversary Planning in Croydon New Hampshire, the Planning Committee is getting under way with the planning of the of the upcoming anniversary.

This here Croydon, New Hampshire Anniversary is the Town's 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Charter for the Town of Croydon. The actual 250th Anniversary Celebration will be taking place in May of 2013. This evening of the 28th of September 2011 the meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. The Planning Committee will be meeting on the last Wednesday of the Month until 2013 at the Croydon Historical Society's Samuel Morse Museum, which is located at 879 New Hampshire Route 10 in Croydon, New Hampshire.

Croydon, New Hampshire is located in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, is situated on the highland between the Connecticut and Merrimack rivers, is bounded on the north by Grantham, east by Springfield and Sunapee, south by Newport, and west by Cornish. Area, twenty-six thousand acres; distance from Concord, the Capital of New Hampshire, forty-five miles; from Lebanon, seventeen miles, and from Newport, nearest railroad station, seven miles. Much of its scenery is wild and picturesque. The soil is diversified. That bordering on Sugar River is rich and productive; as we rise gradually back upon the hills it yields excellent grass, wheat and potatoes, while, as we ascend still higher up the mountain sides, we find only pasturage and forests, and these are overtopped with lofty piles of granite.
Croydon 250th Anniversary Planning in Croydon New Hampshire, Mountains in the Town of Croydon, New Hampshire area, Croydon Mountain, which extends across the western part of the town, is the highest elevation in the county, being nearly three thousand feet above the level of the sea. It commands an extensive and one of the most beautiful prospects in the State, and its charm are attested by its many and enthusiastic visitors. The other elevations are the Pinnacle and Sugar Hill in the central, Baptist Hill in the southern, Pine Hill in the northern, and Baltimore and Camel's Hump on the southeastern part of the town. On the southern slope of the latter is a magnificent portrait of a human face, known as "Aaron," supposed to be the sentinel placed there by the hand of a wise Providence to guide and protect a chosen people, the best view of which is obtained from the old Croydon Turnpike, above the Church, at the Flat.

New Memorial Park Opening in Croydon New Hampshire, the Croydon Fire Department sends out an invite to all to come join them for the opening of the Pat Sawyer Memorial Park on Saturday the 18th of September 2010. Things will begin happing at 11:00 A.M. for the opening.
There will be free hot dogs, salads, beans, chips, drinks and dessert. The folks attening the Pat Sawyer Memorial Park opening will be able to play baseball, soccer, basketball, frisbee and a whole lot more. There are even going to be free door prizes available for folks attening the opening.

New Memorial Park Opening in Croydon New Hampshire, the Croydon Fire Department raised the money to purchase this property to build this park in honor of Pat Sawyer. The actual grand opening and dedication for the Pat Swyer Memorial Park will be in the spring of 2011.
