Greenland NH is just west of Portsmouth on Rte. 33. This town is home to the oldest brick house in New Hampshire. Built by Captain Samuel Weeks in 1710 it survived the earthquake of 1755 with some cracks in the 18" thick beams that supported the house. The bandstand pictured here is located in the heart of the commons right where it intersects with Post Road.

Greenland NH is home of 3,384 people and has 1,364 homes according to the 2006 Census. This small town consists of 10.5 square miles of land and 2.8 miles of inland waters. It borders Great Bay and Winnicut River flows through it.

During the first quarter of 2008 there were 8 homes sold in Greenland. In 2007, eleven homes sold during the first three months of the year. However, the average sale price in 2007 was $330,034 and in 2008 that average rose to $459,655! We have also seen days on market drop from 133 to 76! That means houses are selling in 2.45 months! That's a big difference from 2007. It definitely puts Greenland NH in the fore front of desireable locations to live in. More of a definite Seller's market than a Buyer's market. Homes that are priced correctly will always sell.
