Visit Calloway’s Restaurant on Tuesday, August 11^th and enjoy a great lunch or dinner. Bring along a voucher, and 20% of everything you spend will be contributed to the Friends of the Barnegat Library (FOL).

The Friends of the Barnegat Library is a not for profit organization. It’s mission is to promote the Library’s functions and resources and to help the Library meet the needs of the community.

Over the years this has taken several forms, including the purchase of equipment and furniture not covered in the Library’s annual funding allocation. The Friends of the Barnegat Library also provide funding for many library activities and for the last two years has awarded a $500. Scholarship to a graduating Barnegat High School student.

This Library fund raiser is in addition to other FOL fundraising activities including its book and boutique sales.

Calloway’s Day for the FOL is scheduled ALL DAY on Tuesday, August 11^th. Vouchers must be presented for the Barnegat Library to get a contribution. Vouchers are available at the Barnegat Library located on the corner of Burr Street and W Bay Avenue.

Calloway’s Restaurant is located at 597 Route 9 in Eagleswood, just 2.5 miles south of Route 72.

Barnegat Township measures 33.62 square miles, and is located in the south-central portion of Ocean County. Bordering municipalities are Stafford, Long Beach Island, Ocean Township, and Lacey. The Barnegat Township School District includes 3 elementary schools, covering grades K-5, and a middle school, covering grades 6-8. The Barnegat High School, houses grades 9-12.

Many recreation opportunities abound in Barnegat. There are sports leagues in many areas from Little League baseball, to softball, football, and cheerleading, etc. Barnegat Recreation Center offers art, dance, theater, and sport programs from children and teens. Within the township are a public dock, public bay bathing beach, community center, and ball fields.

Barnegat offers many activities and events throughout the year, including a Memorial Day Parade (May), a Fourth of July Celebration, and Pirate´s Day (September).
