It's Official! I'm Going Back To School!
This is all William Johnson's fault. Day after day -- week after week -- month after month -- he consistently posts some of the most beautiful and stunning photos that I've ever seen online. (Be sure to click on the link provided to enjoy his post today!)
When I had the chance to sit in on a photography class at our state's Real Estate convention, I jumped right in. It only made me want more! I had visions of William's photos dancing in my head.
For that reason, I've decided to take a photography class at Salem Community College. The problem is that the college requires an English prerequisite. So....now I have to take a placement test next Weds. to see which English class I will need to take.
(Shheeesh! I really just wanted to take the photography class and that's it.)
Well, they say things happen for a reason......and I've always said that I wanted to finish my degree. It looks like now is the perfect time.
After I complete the placement test, I can officially register for classes.
(I wonder what I should wear on my first day of school?)

"Blessings overflow and are unceasing. Be thankful......."
I recently noticed a lovely passage posted on the bulletin board in the pool area at the local YMCA in Carneys Point, NJ. After a particularly strenuous swim, it caught my eye. I now read it each and every time I exit the pool. I hope it touches you, as it touches me.

"Blessings overflow and are unceasing. Be thankful for robust
health to make life and work a joy, and joy abundant to pass on to others.
Wealth enough to support your needs and those in need,
and determination to make each day better than the day before.
Boundless happiness to share with others. Strength and spirit
unbridled to overcome all obstacles, and unremitting optimism to
vanish all doubts. Grace to overcome and forgive any
transgressions. Patience to remain calm while the world races by.
Love enough to conquer all and a caring outstretched hand,
especially to young people. To know that in the central place of
every heart must be respect for the earth, peace for the people,
and delight in the good, forgiveness for past wrongs, and passion
for new beginnings. And above all, abiding thanks for all your gains,
miracle after miracle. To know that your final victories come from
hope and faith and love and gratitude, and the greatest of these is
gratitude… because it is the wellspring for all else. Unleash the
power within you so you can touch the lives of others in endless
and wondrous ways. Make every day a hallowed day of thanksgiving."
~unknown
My wish is for you to have a wonderful day, week, month, year and life.
Be well.....

257 Division Street, Carneys Point, NJ - Warehouse at a NEW Low Price!
This building has served it current owners very well for a number of years. A paper supply business has successfully operated out of this 5,000 square foot warehouse for decades.
It's time for the owners to retire. They would like to sell the building and are willing to include the business for an additional fee, if a buyer has interest in that, too.
Now priced at $69,000, the warehouse is a GREAT buy! The parking is GREAT, too. There is enough room for over 15 cars.
This would be a perfect spot for a retail operation or a service provider such as a plumber or an electrician. There are plenty of shelves, lots & lots of storage and a couple of offices, too.
What a find! Call today for more information or to arrange a private tour.
A property like this one doesn't come around very often.

A settlement was supposed to take place Friday morning here in Carneys Point, NJ. The Sellers were ready. So ready, in fact, there was nothing left in the house - not even a beverage in the fridge!
The Buyers were ready. Those folks have all of their monies, paperwork and boxes in order.
Both the Buyer's agent and the Seller's agent were ready. All of the necessary inspections, certifications, utility transfers, etc. in their respective files.
The title company wanted to be ready.
The mortgage company? They just didn't have a clue. Today, a mortgage company, based out of California strung us along all day long. They kept us by our phones and on our phones as if we were expectant parents waiting for our first child to arrive. This lender didn't seem to care that we may have had better things to do today then spend it repeatedly calling/pleading with them, calling & checking in with one another ("have you HEARD anything?") and finally speaking the age-old "can I speak with your supervisor?".
This merry-go-round of wasted energy began at 9am and ended at 5pm with not one, but two delays of game. Today's settlement was postponed to Monday which was then postponed to Wednesday.
Sadly, this is not the first mortgage company to behave in this fashion. I'm sure they will not be the last. It's just impossible to understand what goes on in their offices on days like this. They MUST know they are not going to make settlement happen ---- two days ago! But up until 5 pm today, they had our undivided attention - it was as if they were in possession of the batphone-under-glass and we were helpless on the other end of the line, just waiting to swing into action.
My advice to this lender is to consider how disrespectful it is to keep four households of consumers, four Real Estate offices and two title companies on the hook for an entire business day. Four households of consumers who expected to be moving in to a new home, unpacking their belongings, celebrating the sale/purchase of a lovely home and filling their empty fridges with fresh veggies and, oh yeah, beverages.
As it stands now, they'll be in a continued holding pattern for the entire weekend........while those mortgage folks go home and relax for a couple of days. Thanks, Guys.
This is exactly why I always advise my clients to use the services of local lenders.
Just a thought for today.

Business Recommendation
Well, I have done it again!
What you may ask ?
I have found another business that is worthy of praise. I have a rental house in the southern end of NJ. Being a Realtor that focuses on Burlington and Camden County, NJ.....it's tough at times to get to that end of the state.
Recently, I needed to have some work done on the property and I had to get it done in a short period of time. Some recommended that I call Vince's Roofing & Remodeling. I spoke to Vince and he went to the property the same day, explained my options and gave me several estimates. Within 2 days, he had started the work and was finished when he said he was going to be done.
I will be calling Vince for my future needs.
Thanks Vince

Tell Vince that Leander recommended him.
Have a great day
