It is peaceful and quiet, I only occasionally meet another walker - sometimes with a dog. Not much traffic, I walk on the street - no sidewalks either.

Located in the veritable heart of Chatham Borough, this neighborhood enjoys very close proximity to the NJ Transit Midtown Direct train, the small but bustling village center, and, best of all, very close proximity to highly acclaimed Washington Elementary School as well as Chatham High School.

The streets that make up the Washington Section Neighborhood are:

Washington Avenue, Amherst Road, Broadview Avenue, Chandler Road, Dellwood Avenue, Fairview Avenue, Greenwood, Avenue, Highland Avenue, Inwood Avenue and Inwood Circle, Oak Avenue and Fairmount Avenue.

The Washington Section is highly desirable for buyers for the reasons stated above and because the homes can be some of the largest in Chatham Borough. You see, Chatham Boro has many more smaller houses, making the Washington Section the place to be if you have a need for a larger home. Currently there are only 4 homes for sale in the Washington Section, and all have 4 or more bedrooms and at least 3.5 full baths.
