For anyone who has kids - you know what it's like to plan a kids birthday party right? Lucky me-- my two youngest are born on the same day and are NOT twins. Born two years apart (not by choice...my little guy
was premature).
So after hours of convincing my soon to be 4 and 6 year old that Chuck E Cheese, Funplex, Funtime Junction and practically every other germ infested party place was booked, I found the Cookie Party. The Cookie Party is a family owned and operated children's party place (bakery too) on Ridgedale Avenue in East Hanover. In addition to being probably the cleanest party place I've ever been to, it is well priced for all that is included and the owners are an absolute pleasure to deal with. $19.95 per child includes EVERYTHING -- from invitations to goody bags. (I recommend contacting them directly for price quotes).
The children started out decorating aprons and then move onto rolling out and cutting their cookie dough. While the cookies are baking, they play a game of pass the Cookie Monster
(hot potato type) where every child gets a prize for participation (so no child cries when they get out...must be a PARENT who thought of that GREAT idea)! They have pizza, juice, sing happy birthday and eat their cupcakes!
They finish off by decorating their cookie, taking home their goody bag which includes their apron, a little gift and of course their very own cookie creation!
While the party is going on, the parents are provided with sweet treats from the bakery, coffee, tea and water and can relax in their very own "party" room equipped with a big screen tv. (Parents treats are also included in the price). Extra pizza can be ordered for the parents if you wish to do so.
Take it from me...a mother of three....before booking your child's next birthday party -- check out The Cookie Party. Its a SWEET deal!!
YOUR RECIPE for a smooth move,
