About Fairfield's West Essex

This year the West Essex Regional School District is celebrating 50 years and has planned a few ways to kickoff its 50 year celebration on Saturday, May 21, 2011!

• The West Essex Foundation for Education is holding "Trotting for Technology", a 5K run/walk to help fund the purchase of education equipment for the West Essex Regional School District. This run/walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will start at the West Essex Regional High School and continue through North Caldwell. If interested in running/walking, you can register the morning of the event. Registration fee is $30.00. If running/walking isn't your thing, but eating is......

• You can join the West Essex community for the West Essex 50th Anniversary Pancake Breakfast fundraiser, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., in the West Essex Regional High School. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. Face painting will be available for children. Runners/walker will receivie a complimentary breakfast.

• The West Essex 50th year celebration will end with an interactive visual display for the West Essex Hall of Distinction inside the main entrance of the West Essex Regional High School at 11:15 a.m.

The West Essex Regional School District, ranked #4 TOP HIGH SCHOOL IN ESSEX COUNTY, NJ, located in North Caldwell is comprised of four towns Essex Fells, Fairifeld, North Caldwell and Roseland. While each of the four towns maintains its own grammar schools for grades kindergarten through sixth, ALL four towns attend the West Essex Regional School District for grades seventh through twelfth.

We are just 1/2 way through the 2010-2011 school year in and its time again for kindergarten registration for the West Essex School District is starting for the 2011-2012 school year! If you are moving to one of the four sending districts of the West Essex Regional Schools (Essex Fells, Fairfield, North Caldwell or Roseland) or if you already live in the West Essex School District and have a little one who will be starting kindergarten in September 2011, you may want to know that kindergarten registration is starting.

The West Essex Regional School District is composed of four municipalities: Essex Fells, Fairfield, North Caldwell, and Roseland. Each municipality maintains its own grammar schools for grades kindergarten through sixth and ALL attend The West Essex Regional School District for grades seventh through twelfth.

Essex Fells Kindergarten Registration:

Essex Fells School has scheduled kindergarten registration for the 2011-2012 kindergarten class on Thursday, February 3rd and Friday, February 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A kindergarten orientation program is scheduled for later in the spring.

Fairfield Kindergarten Registration:

Fairfield has scheduled kindergarten orientation for parents on Wednesday, March 24th at 7:00 p.m. At kindergarten orientation Fairfield parents will receive a Kindergarten Registration Packet and the forms needed to register their child for kindergarten. Project welcome which is like a kindergarten orientation for the kids is scheduled for April.

North Caldwell Kindergarten Registration:

North Caldwell has scheduled kindergarten registration for 2011-2012 school year on March 1, 2 and 3. North Caldwell is in the process of getting ready to mail Kindergarten Registration Packets to prospective kindergarten North Caldwell families.

Roseland Kindergarten Registration:

Roseland has posted on their website and mailed out their kindergarten registration packets to Roseland kindergarten families. Roseland's kindergarten orientation program is scheduled for January 25th.
