The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lodi/Hackensack Flood Recovery Beefsteak

Compliments of Hurricane Irene, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lodi/Hackensack's Lodi facility sustained extensive flooding damage. In an effort to assist in funding the rebuilding, there is a fundraising event tonight...

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lodi/Hackensack Flood Recovery Beefsteak!

This event will be held at The Elan at 11 Route 46 West in Lodi, NJ. Doors open at 6:30 pm & you should arrive hungry! Donations are $35 per ticket & $20 for children 5-13 years old.

All proceeds will go to the rebuilding efforts & the event should be a lot of fun! This is a fantastic organization which exists to help our kids, especially the ones who need us most, to reach their full potential & be outstanding citizens.

The new Muscle Maker Grill on Essex Street in Lodi is a home run. Part of a rapidly growing franchise we’re glad to say was started in New Jersey in 1995 & franchising begun in 2007, MMG nailed it from a business standpoint as well as a culinary pursuit.

Any business that can successfully fill a void in the market place with a consistent, quality product will be a hit. These folks nailed not only that angle but will fill that void in your belly with great tasting food that’ll keep you healthy and coming back for more…for a long time!

Here’s the big niche they fill that we’ve ALL been looking for for a long time…

From the Muscle Maker Grill website:

Muscle Maker Grill offers the same quick, convenient benefits of fast food, but without all of the unwanted fats, oils and carbohydrates. We put a healthy twist on all of your favorite foods and flavors – American, Asian, Cajun, Italian, Mexican and Southwestern. We also have a vegetarian menu and only use vegetable stock in the preparation of all our recipes.

Unlike fast food restaurants that use full fat meat and poultry, we only use lean chicken breast, USDA steak, turkey meat, and turkey bacon. We substitute whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread and brown rice for its white counterparts. We use zero fat sour cream, low-fat cheeses, fat-free and zero carb salad dressings, no cream vodka sauces and our famous zero-carb signature sauce.

 

We also don’t use a deep fryer in any of our restaurants ! All of our sauces and dressings are 100% Gluten free and zero trans fat.

Muscle Maker Grill’s Lodi location just celebrated their Grand Opening July 25th and already, they’re doing great. Owner Mike & fiance’ Daniela (who is the front-of-house manager) along with the rest of the staff complete the experience.
