Riverdale, New Jersey: Riverdale is located in the northeast section of Morris County. It is rich in Revolutionary War history and landmarks. It was formed in 1923 when it broke away from the town of Pequannock.
Riverdale Townhome & Condo Living Riverdale townhome and condos include The Grande, Powdermill, and Rock Creek Crossing.
Riverdale Commute: Riverdale is easily accessible to Routes 287, Route 202, and Route 23. The Lincoln Park and Towaco Train Stations are located minutes away from Riverdale and commuters can get to NY Penn Station on NJ Transit via the Montclair-Boonton Line.
Riverdale Schools: The Riverdale School District serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Riverdale Elementary School serves students in K-8th grade. Riverdale Public school students in grades 9-12 attend Pompton Lakes High School in Pompton Lakes
Riverdale Recreation: There are some great parks located in Riverdale which include Koegler Field, Freedom Park and Appelt Park.

Riverdale in my opinion is a best kept real estate secret! The township consists of a total of 2.1 square miles and is intersected by Hamburg Turnpike, Route 23 and Route 287 (2 access locations). It is located only 26 miles from NYC and needless to say is a commuters dream!
The conveniences also include some of my favorite shopping places including Target, Home Depot, Borders and BJ's to name just a few. Places to eat and Gold's Gym are also located here.
Now you might be thinking: and why would I want to live IN this town and not just nearby?
Ah-ha! Here's the best part....
Thanks to all of these awesome "conveniences" the town has very appealing (no pun intended, really) LOW PROPERTY TAXES!
There are several residential sections separated by the Routes I named earlier including three townhouse and condo developments. My personal favorite section is probably Stoneleigh. There is only one ingress/egress off of Route 23 to this quiet residential "secret" area. It is set up high, so many of the properties located here have great views and wonderful geographical settings offering a woodsy, mountainous and soon to be lushly green natural scenery.
The price range in the entire township varies from under $200,000 for some homes and condos to $700,000+.
