Rise above the NOISE!
"After all is said and done, more is said than done." ~Aesop
Aesop was born in the 7th century BC, but could have recognized that malady of mediocrity at any given time. There's a lot of NOISE!
Noise lives in the masses, where huge groups chatter about maintaining the mundane, sustaining the status quo, and complaining about the current while pining over the past. These masses of meh! need the affiliation of the terminally average. It's their life-blood! They commiserate about all things they deem as rocking their non-sea-worthy boats.
If you took a census, you'd find their populace is made up of the jealous and the lazy, and many who've had great ideas that could have... but never did. They could have ushered in a change, even something minute that may have rippled into a wave. But, the noise was too loud. They lost focus of an epiphany and didn't cultivate a passion, because the fear of breaking from the masters of the mundane was too much to bare. Average lives here and the neighbors are very noisy.
It's much easier to be stuck in the middle of the sardine can where everyone is the same & nobody expects too much from you. In fact, you're ostracized if you try to break from the mold. These are the lemmings who've surrendered their power of individuality, en masse. They clamor for more regulation because they can't fathom taking an active role in it's nemesis... INNOVATION.
Sound familiar? Then rise above the noise!
Be the change you've envisioned instead of waiting for someone or something else to bring it. Get moving. If you're waiting on something external to stir you... don't hold your breath!
Innovate! Do that thing or make that change that inspires you. The noise will always be there. So what! Don't let it deafen or paralyze you. Ignore it and rise above it. If you give in to the noise, you'll just become spiritually extinct and irrelevant with the lot of them.
Take the harder, more rewarding path and reach that place you've envisioned. The dust from the clamor will clear and you'll still be standing.
Give it a little time. The masses will catch up and ironically, they'll applaud you for creating the wonderful new "norm" for them. They'll settle in, as they always do... but don't you.
The applause may be music at first, but will turn back to noise, in no time. If you've still got it in you (and you will)... Rise again!
What are you talking about?
and what are you DOING?!
(...or are you just making noise?)
Rise above the NOISE!

Online real estate marketing is not a coming fad or a thing of the future… It’s here & it’s NOW!
92% of buyers use the Internet to search for their homes.
Keep in mind, while staggering, that survey is almost a year old. The percentages will most likely be a few ticks higher for Internet users & even more scant for print media for 2011!
With these facts in mind… Should you entrust the marketing & sale(?) of your largest asset to anyone who is not mastering cutting edge, technological tools and systems to stay ahead of the curve & get the job done right? Let’s rephrase that…get YOUR job done right!
Those folks are rapidly becoming the proverbial “dinosaurs” in the real estate industry. They are many & they are not only marching themselves toward extinction & irrelevance, they are unwittingly compromising the interests of those they should be protecting…their seller clients! And, the “fire” they can start about your home or condo in today’s markets? Well, they may as well be banging two stones together, trying to get a spark!
This may sound like a funny analogy, but the reality is, if you’re serious about selling your home or condo, you need to do a little homework before entrusting just anyone to market your property.
Effective real estate marketing is dynamic, it’s exciting and it’s online. Although the basic tenets of transaction brokerage haven’t changed all that much and good, sound relationships really should remain “Old School”… the tools & systems employed by the top marketing tacticians of the world evolve daily.
The bottom line is this…
When selecting & entrusting anyone with marketing, negotiating & transacting the sale of what is most likely your largest asset…
Make sure they’re a tech-savvy agent or broker!
Do a little homework & watch these VIDEOS:
"What's Most Important to Today's Sellers"
"A Few Important Questions for Sellers"
"A Few Important Questions for Buyers"
Online real estate marketing is not a coming fad… It’s not a thing of the future…
It’s HERE & it’s NOW.
