1st Day Of Training For My New Assistant
I just love my new assistant! He is always so happy and pleasant when I ask him to help me. And he dresses quite nicely for work. He's thorough, loyal and attends to details.
I couldn't ask for a more devoted helper.
Billy went right to work when I asked him to look at the shed in the backyard at 670 Fort Elfsborg Road in Elsinboro, NJ. The property is situated on a quiet 'country' road. In fact, it borders a farmer's field. It offers 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, a formal diningroom, a livingroom complete with a woodstove, an attached garage and a really spacious deck that overlooks the peaceful backyard.
Billy's job today was to help me install new sign riders and to inspect the backyard. He did an excellent job with both of these tasks, I'm happy to report!
Not only did Billy look spiffy in his new work clothes, he did an excellent job of installing the new sign riders. I think he'll be ready for some additional duties on his next day of work.
Stay tuned.......

Today's Real Estate Activities - August 9, 2011
And the word of the day is: EVICTION!
I really don't like that word, at all.
After months and months of marketing a four-bedroom, one and a half bath unit for rent, a tenant was finally obtained.
Not a perfect tenant, but the best one that we could find.
The credit was so-so, their funds were low, but they had decent jobs.
They also gave us a convincing promise to do better.
Our landlord-client decided to give them a chance. He graciously allowed them to make installments on their security deposit. He patiently waited each month as they stretched out their payments.
They finally attempted to stretch their rent payment out a bit too long and he had no choice but to file for eviction.
Their response?
A quiet, quick move in the middle of the night.
*sigh*
There were several ways that this problem could have been worked out. To just walk away is the absolute worst decision that a tenant could make.
Now their so-so credit will most likely end up with an eviction and a judgement for the past due monies on it. So-so will now become poor.
At least the next gracious and patient landlord will have a more accurate picture to go along with those convincing promises.
If you or anyone you know is in need of a spacious four-bedroom, one and a half bath rental unit in Salem County, NJ, please give me a call - 856 628 2710. It offers a full basement, diningroom, livingroom, eat-in kitchen and an enclosed front porch. Rent - $1,100 per month.

Pink Carnations
I've been a mother for 26 years now. Looking back over all of these years, thinking about all of the Mother's Days, I think the first one was the most memorable. I can clearly remember going to church with my four-month old baby......what an effort to get up, get showered and dressed, feed my daughter, get to the church on time, etc.
*whew*
As I trudged up the stairs, baby on hip, diaper bag on my shoulder, pocketbook on the opposite shoulder, bangs hanging a bit in my eyes.....
One of the church members, with a huge smile on her face, handed me a pink carnation....a pink carnation for Moms.
I will never forget that moment.
That carnation.
My first Mother's Day.
