Community Fundraiser: Seaside Rotary Waiter Night at LUNA ROSA Trattoria, Sunday Jan. 30, 2011

The Seaside Rotary is sponsoring Waiter Night at the Luna Rosa restaurant on Sunday, January 30, 2011. The Rotary is donating a portion of the ticket proceeds and pooled tips to the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program at Hugh J. Boyd School, Seaside Heights NJ.

There will be 2 seatings on Sunday, Jan. 30., one at 4:00 p.m. and one at 7:00 p.m. Cost for adults is $22.00; a child's menu is available for $12.00. Remember that your participation will benefit the Seaside Rotary and the Big Brothers & Big Sisters Program.

Seaside Rotary members will be serving your 3-course Luna Rosa meal. The entrees they may drop you may choose are:

• Penne Vodka
• Roast Pork loin;
• Chicken Francese
• Chicken Parmigiana;
• Tilapia Francaise.

According to the Luna Rosa website, its new name is Luna Derosa. In any case, the address is 401 Boulevard, Seaside Heights NJ.

Snooki from the Jersey Shore show was arrested in Seaside Heights. The photo below will give you an idea as to what her state of mind was like while the cops dragged her off of the beach for being intoxicated. She will sleep it off in a holding cell before she is released.

Not only is this show essentially useless but for some reason, Snooki (Nicole Polizzi) has received all kinds of publicity for just being incredibly stupid. So, was this a publicity stunt? Who cares? Look at her pic below....what is attractive about that?

Most residents of New Jersey wish this show would just go away. Its depiction of people in NJ are not accurate and in fact, they needed to go to NY to find all buy one of the cast members.

A Little piece of Jersey Shore History. A celebration was held for the Floyd Moreland Carousel's 100th Birthday at Casino Pier in Seaside Heights this week. The Carousel is full of history with horses that were carved in 1890 a true 146 WURLITZER ORGAN that was restored back in 2000. Maintained over the years Carousel enthusiast have always believed that a Carousel without working band organ is like a lyric without a tune. This Beautiful Piece of history provides every child and kid at heart with a historic experience in every turn.

The merry-go-round was first installed at Burlington Island Park along the Delaware River. It was fixed after sustaining some damage in a fire in 1928 and moved to the Jersey shore in 1932

Well, it is that time of year again! Seaside Heights begins its weekly fireworks show tonight

• When: Wednesday Nights at 9:30pm from June 24th through Sept 2nd
• Where: Seaside Heights, NJ. The fireworks can be viewed from anywhere along the boardwalk
• Weather: Yes, the Fireworks are dependant on weather. So they may be cancelled for bad weather, this can include wind conditions that would make it dangerous as well as rain...
