Silverton is bordered to the north by Brick Township. Main roads that run through Silverton include Hooper Avenue (CR 549), Silver Bay Road, and Church Road/Kettle Creek Road.
Toms River's unique scenery with access pristine beaches and river make it one of the most beautiful places to live in New Jersey. Toms River can be seen in various TV and news media including MTV's "Made" and "Jersey Shore" (season 1 and 3), HBO's "Boardwalk Empire", and the original "Amityville Horror" movie. In 1998, Toms River Little League won the Little League World Series and made it to the Regional Championships numerous times since then. UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar also hails from Toms River. The township also has the 2nd largest Halloween parade in the world.

The Silverton Volunteer Fire Company Number 1 kicked off the fall season with a roar last weekend.
Under a sunny sky, 159 motorcycles rode through Ocean County on a 100-mile poker run to open festivities for a Fall Family Festival held at the fire company's Kettle Creek Road station.
The festival brought families together to say thank you to the men and women who serve them throughout the year.
Chairman John Addalia said Silverton station hopes to make the event an annual tradition
