About 30 years ago there waas a Country Club located in Totowa, NJ. Hickory Hill was it's name and it stood where Hickory Hill Estates is located now. If anyone has any pictures, photos, memories, etc. Please shae them. If you could e-mail photos to michael.morley@cbmoves.com that would be great.
My group will be getting a listing in Hickory Hill Estates in the coming weeks. My Dad used to work at the Country Club and I used to go there when he did. The listing is bringing back some great memories.

The NY football Giants announced today that they have decided to release their troubled star wide receiver Plaxico Burress from the team. The star player, who caught the winning touchdown pass in last years Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots, has been in and out of trouble both on the field and off.
Now the Totowa NJ resident will have to search for a new team if he manages to clear the criminal charges against him stemming from last falls shooting incident (involving an unregistered gun) in a NYC nightclub.

Totowa NJ resident Plaxico Burress will not play again this season for the defending Super Bowl Champion NY Giants. Burress, the talented wide receiver - who caught the winning touchdown pass in last years Super Bowl and signed a multi-year, muti-million dollar renegotiated contract just prior to the season starting - after holding out during training camp - has finally (after many run ins with team officials, league officials, and coaching staff - garnering a multitude of fines) run himself out of town, Although the Giants haven't officially cut Burress from the team, they have suspended him for the remainder of this season. And most likely, his career with the Giants has come to a tumultuous end after accidentally shooting himself in the leg at a NYC nightclub with a concealed gun that he did not have a carrying permit for in New York. This incident occured 2 nights before a game that he was not going to be able to play because of an injured hamstring. Bet he wishes he stayed home and rested.
Burress was charged with illegal weapons possession and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants Burress prosecuted to the full extent of the law - which would entail a 3 1/2 - 15 year sentence if convicted of these charges. So clearly - whether a lapse in judgment or an arrogant, above the law type attitude (arguments have been made on both fronts) this talented and wealthy athlete/celebrity has jeopardized not only his career but also his legacy and Hall of Fame chances with this latest incident.
What causes successful athletes and celebrities to engage in risky behavior? Is it the money, the fame, the feeling of invulnerability? Please feel free to express your opinions.....
