Activerain Camp in New York was awesome....

Dolores (Dee) Mauriello: Real Estate Sales Person in Wayne, NJ

Activerain Camp in New York was awesome.

What a beautiful day (January 12, 2010) in New York City. The brisk temperature went unnoticed thanks to the hustle bustle and excitement in the air.

I departed from the Park and Ride on Route 23 in Wayne New Jersey. Fortunately the bus 324 runs about every 10 minutes at the Wayne Park and Ride and the charge for parking is nominal. In less than 40 minutes I was in the city. From the bus terminal in NY it was a short walk to the event " Active Rain Camp at the Marriott in Times Square New York City". With every step I took I could feel increased excitement to know that I had the opportunity to see, meet and listen to some of the most innovated successful people in real estate and pillars of the Active Rain Community. Some of these people are:

•· Jonathan Washburn

•· Brad Andersohn

•· Bob Stewart

•· Ben Kinney

This list could go on because there were so many people speaking and in the audience from the Active Rain Community. Just being there and listening to them was a unique opportunity to learn more about the sofisticated and changing real estate industry. This will help me to assist my real estate clients in northern New Jersey to obtain their goals successfully.

I am sure all the attendees came away with valuable insight. To me these points were notable:

•· Optimization and management of Facebook and Twitter for Realtors

•· SEO and Google strategies

•· Blogging the right way

•· Zestimates

•· Lead conversion....

I am looking forward to doing this again......

Thank you for this opportunity Active Rain Camp 2010!

To all attendees, if you have photos please share them and link them in your comments. Thanks

Wayne New Jersey a Charitable Community

Dolores (Dee) Mauriello: Real Estate Sales Person in Wayne, NJ

Wayne New Jersey is a Charitable Community.

During the holidays residents of Wayne New Jersey demonstrate a charitable spirit with many good deeds. Some examples are:

  • School bus drivers at the municipal North Cove bus depot donate sick days to a co-worker suffering from cancer.
  • George Washington Middle School students attend Student Council Dance and collect gifts for seniors in resident homes. Just to mention one of the many charitable activities of our schools. (These are lessons in caring and giving at our Wayne schools.)
  • Librarian Wendy Sanford collects winter wear for the needy at the main library.
  • Junior Women's Club of Wayne and their children delight the residents of Sunrise Assisted Living with their singing.
  • Caregiver support groups help those in challenging situations.
  • Toys for Tots collections...
  • Food pantry collections....
  • This list can go on.......

In 2009 the spirit of giving has been exemplified in our Town. We can be proud of Wayne New Jersey. Looking forward to an even better 2010,

Happy Healthy New Year 2010 to all.

Best time to take outdoor photos?

Dolores (Dee) Mauriello: Real Estate Sales Person in Wayne, NJ

When is the best time to take outdoor photos?

Have you seen exterior shots of properties and wonder why they are even posted on the MLS. Shadows are everywhere or in some areas the sun is bright and you don't know what you are looking at?

There is a trick to taking these outdoor photos.

Some professionals call it "The Golden Hour".

  • First make sure it is a clear day.
  • Then time your exterior photo shoot for an hour or two before sunset.

The indirect sunlight will give your property listing softness so you can see the features clearer.

Try it! This is very simple but it may make a big difference in your exterior photos.

It is easier to buy what you can see and ... vice versa.
