CHARGERS DEFEATED RUIDOSO 48-21
The Albuquerque Academy Chargers advanced to the second round of the NMAA State Football Championship Playoffs, after a stellar performance infront of their home crowd. The Chargers took control of the game from beginning to end and there was no stopping them. Despite the valiant efforts by Ruidoso, the Chargers just had too many weapons.
Our guest of honor today were the #1 seeded St. Michael's Horsemen. The entire team was present. They looked on in amazement...as the Chargers whom they will face in next week's game totally dominated Ruidoso. There is an interesting piece of history in the current dynamics between these two 3A rivals...In 2007, the Chargers were seeded #8, they played the #9 seed, defeated them, then went on to defeat the #1 Seed, Lovington in the biggest upset in school history; next, they faced St. Michael's who stoppend them dead in their tracks. If history repeats itself, the Chargers will upset the Horsemen next week to move on to the semi-finals. If Lovington is sitting there it would be a great situation to avenge our loss from last year.
CONGRATULATION CHARGERS!!! JOB WELL DONE!!

Prep Football: Albuquerque Academy Chargers defeated Pojoaque High 43-13 and claimed the #8 seed in the State Playoffs
Albuquerque Academy Chargers defeated Pojoaque High on Saturday, 43-13 to wrap up their regular season games. That win assured them of the #8 Seed for the State Championship Playoffs. They will be playing at home against Ruidoso High. On all account Ruidoso is a decent team...the Chargers have their work cutout for them. If they win, they will have to face the #1 Seed St Michael's who crushed them during the regular season.
I will not make any prediction here, but as the old saying goes, history always repeats itself. In 2007 in the same seeding scenario, the Chargers seeded #8, won the first round, and went down to Lovington and flogged them, only to bedefeated by St. Mchael's in the Semi-Finals. If only history would repeat itself this year, at least partly. Good Luck Chargers! I'll see you on Saturday.

Albuquerque Academy Chargers Wins!

This afternoon the Albuquerque Academy Chargers enjoyed a resounding victory as they destroyed the Santa FE Indian School, 54-0 in NM Prep Football. What does all of this mean? Are the Chargers Back...Well, Yes and No. Three players came off injured reserve, and this contributed to the victory. The Santa Fe Indian School did not show up. It was no match. I hope this trend continues.
GOOD LUCK CHARGERS!!
